  1. I really think Wembley is a mistake. I have been fortunate to have seen many events there, although it's a fantastic stadium the atmosphere can be dreadful if it's only half full. Personally I think the criteria for selection should be capacity of between 30-60K. As others have said, Everton new ground would be a smart choice, priced correctly could sell out or come close. I'd go with Spurs / Arsenal (Need 1 in London) Everton Elland Road / Hull
  2. I feel a bit sorry for Huddersfield fans. Watched large parts of their 3 games this season and for how competitive they have been they deserve more than 0 points
  3. Good luck to both teams, please, please give us a cracker whoever wins The best shop window superleague has ever had awaits
  4. Agree, I looked out for their scores last season and enjoyed watching them fight against the odds. It was inspiring what they achieved last season. This would be bad on its own, but to do it on a rare BBC prime time spot is so damaging. If you were new to RL why would you watch another game after this.joke. I don't even think most Saints fans would enjoy this
  5. What clown at the BBC chose this as the pick. Embarrassing If you were a casual sports fan tuning in you will have already switched off
  6. He could of sorted the Australia series quicker than this lot
  7. I think its a cracking channel, I really enjoy their coverage - I just wish the showed more games. A championship game a week for example would be great. Whoever selects the fixtures for the Sportsman knows their RL. They consistently pick close, exciting evenly matched games, as much as I enjoy SL some of the best games I watched last season were on this channel
  8. ......they really need to get this confirmed!
  9. That's a shame, was really hoping there would be 1 game a week. There must be enough of a market for that
  10. Hi All. Does anybody know what the TV arrangements for the championship & league 1 for next season? Although primarily a follower of superleague I started watching a few of the lower league games last season on 'the sportsman ' youtube channel and really enjoyed it. The problem I found was that the games were few & far between. Are we likely to get more or less games this season? Will it still be the Sportsman or some other channel?
  11. This should give hope to any other struggling Championship/league 1 club, that with the right ownership it can be turned around quickly. It's going to be really interesting to see how Oldham get on this season in the Championship
  12. I wish they would hurry up and announce some dates & venues Has their been any indication when we will find out?
  13. I really hope they don't pick Wembley, even though its a fantastic stadium if its only half full it will suck the atmosphere out of the event. Everyone has their opinions but I attended the Grand Final at OT & the CC final at Wembley, the atmosphere at an almost full OT was levels above Wembley with 30k empty seats. Old Trafford had a big event feel to it, where as Wembley I thought felt flat even though the game had more action. Personally unless they are going to price Wembley at something really appealing to masses like £15/£20 I think they should be targeting stadiums 40-50k max capacity I'd be really happy with Evertons new ground and Elland Road as the other 2 games.
