This is great to see. I have really enjoyed the sportsman's coverage of games this season, knowledgeable commentary and its great to see some teams and grounds outside the superleague. Whoever picks their games to show in the challenge cup really has a talent, almost every game they showed was a real 50/50 battle. Just a shame their coverage is so sporadic, it seems months since they last showed a game

What needs to be done differently?

Serious question, not criticising here. Why do you think the next TV deal will plummet? I haven't seen any average viewing figures for this season and those will be the big indicator, but this season we have Sky TV, BBC & Superleague plus so more options than ever before. If, and its a big if, it has increased viewership then that will drive up the value of future TV deals. lots of valid points in this thread, and it needs a big combination of solutions to grow the game but if someone said to me you can only implement one, then I would say the terrestrial TV deal needs to include 1 game per round, be held at a fixed time each week and not be on the red button so people know when it's on. Currently the bbc deal is so one foot in, one foot out it doesn't help -
Salfords crowd looks a bit better than usual - looks like that promotion on lower ticket prices has worked. I feared the ground would look almost empty for the bbc game

Trinity v Whitehaven brilliant gesture

Absolutely class gesture this. You ofter hear the term 'RL family' mentioned, this is a prime example. This could be a financial lifeline. Well done Wakey -
A great development for both countries if this gets confirmed

SuperLeague+ Streaming Platform Launch

Just paid £20 and joined for a month to watch the season run in. Got to say, I've found it a really good app. Initially I thought it every game was covered, but can't complain with 4 games per round - although it will mean the odd big clash gets missed. A decent mix of other RL content, archive games, interviews etc. Does anybody know if this is going to continue into future seasons? I guess it depends if it is a financial success or not. I noticed when I downloaded the app it said it had been downloaded '10k' times. -
Evening All, Does anybody have any recommendations for a good RL podcast? Or youtube channel? I don't have a great deal of spare time,so ideally something that is like a weekly preview show of upcoming games, or a round up of recent results and analysis. I've had a quick look online, Superleague Raw has seemed a decent watch on YouTube. Any recommendations?

Much needed win for them today Must feel extra good after the week they have just had

Is their any news officially on how these are selling? I would like to go the game at Headingley but due to family commitments won't know if I'm able to go until close to the date.....I take it from this thread their is no risk of it selling out?

100%. I decided to start following a few random championship/league 1 clubs on social media this year, out of support for getting them a few extra likes and follows for img scoring (every little helps!), but also just to keep an eye on results/news etc. From the 5 or 6 teams I follow Oldham stands out for the quality and frequency of content. Regular updates about team news, fan support and upcoming games as well as post game highlights ans interviews. Lots of positive messages and it really encourages you to get down to Boundary park and watch a game. Will be very interesting to see how they get on in the championship next season, this club really looks to be going places

The Midlands definitely needs an event to help try and grow the game and Hurricanes seem to be doing great things at the moment. But the Alexander is miles away from the city center and facilities which seemed to one of most peoples complaints about Elland Road hosting it. If magic goes to the Midlands then personally I hope it goes to Nottingham. Stadium at West Bridgeford which is easily walkable from train station and city center in a nice Riverside area which you think would be great for a fanzone.stadium just about big enough to make it worthwhile

Its going to be a cracking run in to watch.Although I'll be disappointed the Rhinos (deservedly) are almost certainly going to miss out, the drama in some of the other final games has the potential to be a brilliant end to the season. Be interesting at the bottom to see if London can pick up another result or 2 and pip Hull to 11th place

Any ideas what the proposed deal looked like? A game per round etc? As a relatively new fan myself, this season I've ventured beyond just watching superleague and watched a few games on our league involving championship /league 1 teams and really enjoyed what I've seen. There is such little exposure for these clubs they should be crying out for a TV deal. In an ideal world I would like to see Our league getting more games to cover - currently despite the coverage and commentary being very good for a small outfit the games shown are just too infrequent

True, but definitely not the failure that some were talking about. Certainly today's been entertaining to watch, and on TV its come across as a pretty decent atmosphere and event.

Crowd looks more than respectable at this moment. Just tuned back in now. Thought the opening game was brilliant entertainment. Pleased for the Broncos to get another 2 points
