Press release: The RFL open Red Hall to the public on Saturday

The RFL will open the doors of their historic Leeds headquarters at Red Hall on Saturday September 11 between 10am and 1.00pm as part of a nationwide English Heritage event designed to showcase buildings which are not normally open to members of the public.

Red Hall is a Georgian property built in 1650 which now hosts the national governing body of Rugby League in the UK; visitors will be able to visit the reception area, view the Rugby League Hall of Fame and Roll of Honour and have access to the grounds.

A booklet on the history of Red Hall will also be handed out to visitors.

The heritage open days event takes place between September 9 and 12 each year throughout Europe. In Britain it is co-ordinated by the Civic Trust in London and locally, by Leeds Civic Trust.

Typically in Leeds, there are over 70 events for the public to see or do over the four days, for further information please check www.heritageopendays.org.uk.
