Project 30 Heritage Event

Recommended Posts

Interest is starting to grow as the first big event in the Nottingham Outlaws Project 30 fundraising campaign rapidly approaches.

On the 7th June the Outlaws have designated their home match against Leicester Storm as a Heritage Event and to mark the occasion they will be playing in a specially designed strip based on the 1989 Nottingham City kit. Afterwards there will be an evening reception at The Wellbeck Hotel in the city centre.

The evening promises to be a fantastic occasion with copies of the Nottingham Rugby League Heritage brochure on sale whilst the highlight will be an auction to raise funds for Project 30. There will be some fabulous items on offer including a rare match worn Mansfield Marksman shirt in fantastic condition from the first ever season at Field Mill. The shirts from the specially designed Heritage kit used in the Leicester match will also be sold during the auction.

The Heritage Evening will also be used to announce a Nottingham All Stars team, featuring the judges choice for the best ever starting thirteen from the Nottingham area and all of the players chosen will be automatically inducted into the Hall of Fame on the night.

Details of the Heritage Night and event tickets can be found here http://www.nottinghamrl.co.uk/nottinghamrlheri.html  Tickets are going fast with a host of current and ex-players from the various Nottingham teams guaranteed to be in attendance, including a number of players who took part in the inaugural season.

Details of specific items for the auction will be posted in the coming days and you can read all about Project 30 here on the Outlaws website http://www.nottinghamrl.co.uk/project30/ as well as finding details of how to purchase your copy of the Heritage Brochure on line.
