Adrian Lam’s men are back in action on Tuesday as they face up against local rivals St Helens at the AJ Bell Stadium (K.O. 7:45pm) in Round 14 of the Betfred Super League. Sunday’s team news announcement brought a number of positives regarding players who could well make their return to first team action. After struggling with a hamstring injury since the return from lockdown in July, half-back Jake Shorrocks was named in the 21-man squad to face Saints. Jake Shorrocks has made one appearance for Wigan this season. Prop-forward Joe Bullock was also named in the 21 after missing out for a couple of weeks with a hand injury sustained in Round 12. Winger Dom Manfredi returned for selection after missing out against Wakefield with a head knock. Injury list Experienced forward George Burgess continues to fully overcome a hip problem. Winger Liam Marshall continues his long-term recovery from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament knee injury sustained during the Round 10 tie with Castleford.
