Warriors News Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Get the latest on the Wigan Warriors squad with the Holts Injury Update. Adrian Lam’s men head to St Helens’ Totally Wicked Stadium this Saturday hoping to book their spot in the Coral Challenge Cup Final, as they take on Leeds Rhinos. Ahead of the tie, the Head Coach has provided a number of updates on injured players and their likely returns. Back-rower Jack Wells, who left the field of play with a knee issue on Tuesday against St Helens, unfortunately looks set for a spell on the sidelines. Speaking earlier this week, Lam said on Wells: “The medical team are saying it’s a possible MCL (medial cruciate ligament) or cartilage tear, also a kneecap dislocation. “If it is a dislocation it could be up to three months. But we don’t know for sure until the scans come back.” Experienced forwards George Burgess and Tony Clubb, who are currently sidelined with hip and neck injuries respectively, are expected to return to selection in the next two weeks. George Burgess last featured for Wigan in their Round 12 victory over Catalans Dragons. Injury List Winger Liam Marshall continues his long-term recovery from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament knee injury sustained during the Round 10 Betfred Super League tie against Castleford Tigers. 21-man squad to face Leeds Rhinos 1.
