Earlier this year Wigan Warriors and official lager partner Kingfisher Beer teamed up to ask fans to nominate their lockdown heroes.

From the many nominations received, a deserving winner was chosen.

Sarah Foster, a senior staff nurse at Bolton Hospice, was nominated by her husband for her courageous efforts throughout the covid-19 pandemic.

Having worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic providing quality of life to cancer patients, Sarah became sick through covid but managed to fight the illness before bravely returning to work.

To say thank you for her efforts, Wigan Warriors and Kingfisher Beer treated Sarah to a surprise call from her all-time favourite player and current head coach Adrian Lam.

Sarah also received a signed shirt, a helping of Kingfisher Beer and a meal for two at local Indian restaurant The Raj.

Wigan Warriors and Kingfisher Beer would like to thank all of the fans who have gone above and beyond within the community this year.
