Cancer Research UK

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research. And the charity’s pioneering work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has helped save millions of lives. The charity supports research into all aspects of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

As part of the partnership with CRUK, at the start of this year the Warriors launched a special third kit which featured the logo on the front the shirt and £5 from every shirt sold was donated to the charity. The kit has been worn as an alternative kit for several games throughout this season and as part of inclusivity day on Friday, it will be worn for the first time at the DW Stadium as Wigan host Toulouse Olympique. Click HERE for all the details. Please note that for this week’s Golden Gamble half time draw, the winner of the match-worn shirt will not be able to choose one from Friday’s game due to it being a charity shirt. Alternatively, the winner will be able to choose one from a previous game this season – home or away.

With the charity shirt a huge hit, and now sold out, the Club launched a Cancer Research UK x Wigan Warriors pin badge which is still available to buy now. The badge costs £5, with £1.50 from each sale being donated to CRUK. Click HERE to buy yours.

To further support Cancer Research UK, Wigan Warriors have set up a Just Giving SuperTeam page. SuperTeam pages are a way to collectively see donations for multiple fundraising activities. If you would like to fundraise for Cancer Research UK, you can attach your own Just Giving page to our SuperTeam page. Click HERE and then click the start fundraising button.
