JOE HARTLEY SIGNS FOR 2024

 

Rochdale Hornets are delighted to announce the signing of outside back, Joe Hartley ahead of the 2024 season.

Rochdale Hornets are delighted to announce the signing of outside back, Joe Hartley, who will join the club ahead of the 2024 season. Joe joins the club on the back of a three-year stint at local rivals, Oldham.

Joe progressed through the ranks at Oldham St Anne's before signing his first pro contract in 2021. Now at the age of 25, Joe will add experience on our edges.

Chairman, Andy Mazey, commented on the signing; "We are absolutely delighted to have secured the services of Joe Hartley a player who Gary has admired when playing against us and who’s best years are undoubtedly still ahead of him. Through the process of negotiating and signing Joe he came across very well and has a fantastic attitude that aligns with what we are building here. I know Gary is excited about securing Joe and working with him. Welcome to Rochdale Hornets Joe"

Joe added, "I’m really looking forward to a new challenge and environment at Hornets. The club is going in the right direction with great ambitions and I am very excited to be a part of that. I can’t wait to get going in pre season with the rest of the lads and I have no doubt we will be fighting at the right end of the table next year. I’d like to thank Gary and Andy for giving me this opportunity. I am looking forward to working with them and repaying their faith in me come 2024. "
