Never for one minute thought you was.

Always looked like a very optimistic guestimate to me.

FWIW, under present conditions I'd reckon your hardcore would be around 4,000.

Stick you in the championship and could probably halve that.

There weren't many Salford fans there so I'd say it was closer to 6. Stick us in the Pennine League and crowds would be lower still....what's your point? Crowds have fallen and will probably go lower, ha ha enjoy it.

I think next season is also a write off, just for the fact that we need to blood the younger players and give them more game time but the Bradford Bulls of 2012 should be interesting with the likes of Donaldson, Whitehead, Addy, Southernwood, Finnigan, George Burgess, Tom Burgess, Olbison and Crookes with Lynch, L'Estrange, Scruton, Langley, Orford, Platt, Halley and Kearney being the nucleus of the side.

Exciting times I feel are just around the corner.

I wouldn't suggest next season is a write off. For certain I hope the young players given a shot this time will make themselves undroppable, as Elliot Whitehead has already done and also James Donaldson before he injured his cruciate. Addy, Olbison and Crookes have to be regarded as full weight SL players from next year. Young Finigan has only played the one game so I guess it's a bit unfair to put him up with the others, well as he played in that one game.

If I were into religion and praying for things, the one thing I would ask for next year would just be a tiny bit better luck with the injuries. You know, not wanting to be greedy, maybe get just as many but have them spread out a bit more...........

Bring back big Martin.

We never had any of this back in the late 90's.

Ah, yes Clogger, what happened to him?

To be fair all round though, I think there are more injuries in RL in general these days than there used to be. I guess with bigger blokes, running ever faster into head on collisions, there is a degree of inevitability about it.

Wasn't it Jenno who went to Aus? The last thing I heard about Clogger was something about running a gym, possibly in the Castleford area? 'Tis a while ago though...........

Maybe we could try and persuade him to come back, because the new bloke doesn't seem to be doing much.

The frustrating thing is that it's not far off the same group of players who has us up to 4th and looking pretty good. OK, losing Orford was a blow, and that would affect the cohesion in attack, but it shouldn't affect the defence. These players have proven themselves to be half decent at the beginning of the season, so what the hell has gone wrong?

Would you swap Bondi for Bridlington? tongue.gif

I think Carl Jennings was the 'sports scientist' type, similar to the current guy, Geoff Evans. I hope I'm not libeling anyone but I got the idea that Clogger was more of a traditionalist. I guess you take your pick about which is most effective.
