It must have been 1969/70,we set off up north to Workington.
We went in two cars,I had an old Austin A40,followiing Barry Pickup in an older A35.
There were 7 or 8 of us .Some cursing and swearing on the terraces with the oppostion supporters in the first half ,resulted in a few pints at half time .
More cursing resulted in being invited back to their homes for a bit of tea and a wash and brush up.Then out for a few more beers before bidding a fond farewell.
If any of our Batley passengers remember this, I would love to know.

The main reason for this post is to thank these never to be forgotten Workingto fans.
