ISSUE 514 (NOV 2025) PICTURED - AVAILABLE FROM 24th OCT 2025 Not available in shops. Order here. Get the Digital Edition online - anywhere in the world and save £££s on a subscription! What a month that was! Since our last issue, we have witnessed some sensational on-field action across multiple Grand Finals and we have coverage from them all in our latest edition. Hull KR recovered from an uncertain start at Old Trafford to bounce back and claim their first ever Super League title in style with a 24-6 victory over Wigan Warriors, with ‘Magic’ Mikey Lewis fully deserving his nickname delivering a dazzling man of the match performance. With a new name on the trophy at last, there will also be new names in the competition next year as Super League expands to 14-teams. Despite all the drama and controversy surrounding IMG gradings and independent panels, we now know that Bradford Bulls, Toulouse Olympique and York Knights - the top three teams in the Championship this season - will be promoted, whilst financially-stricken Salford Red Devils will drop out of the top-flight. Whether by accident or design, the IMG gradings have delivered a Super League line-up almost identical to league placings, with Hull KR sitting proudly at the top of the pile. With the domestic seasons over, attention turns to the international scene, and the long-awaited Ashes Series. Can England upset the odds and the weight of history and emerge victorious? We caught up with Herbie Farnworth, one of England’s star players with plenty of NRL experience under his belt. No stranger to the Australians who will be determined to retain the Ashes they have held for so long, he insists they are only men, not supermen. RUGBY LEAGUE WORLD - ISSUE 513 (OCT 2025) - AVAILABLE NOW! Click here to get the print edition delivered to your door! Download the digital edition to your computer, tablet or smartphone Where does the time go? It doesn’t seem that long ago we were counting down to the start of the 2025 season with our club-by-club preview issue, but here we are already, in the blink of an eye, contemplating an intriguing set of end of season play-off fixtures in both the Super League and the Championship. What we couldn’t have predicted back then was that the League One play-off series would be cancelled almost at the last minute, due to the momentous behind the scenes changes that have taken place at the Rugby Football League and which will result in an expanded 14-team Super League and a merged Championship and League One competition next season. Putting the off-field drama to one side, we are keeping our focus on what’s happening on the field here at Rugby League World, and the big question is can Hull Kingston Rovers go all the way to Old Trafford and complete a remarkable clean sweep of three trophies, having already collected the Challenge Cup and League Leaders’ Shield? There are five other clubs with their eyes on the prize and we assess their chances inside. In addition to our regular domestic and international coverage, Wigan's Australian PNG international Emily Veivers answers 20 quickfire questions, we go back to school to follow King James’s High School in Huddersfield on an overseas tour to Perpignan, and we get on our bikes (not literally) to catch up with the latest fundraising endeavours on behalf of RL Cares in the USA. There's plenty more to enjoy inside this issue for any rugby league fan.

ISSUE 512 (SEPT 2025) PICTURED - AVAILABLE FROM 22nd AUG 2025 Not available in shops. Order here. In the latest issue of Rugby League World we talk to Brad Arthur about his decision to commit to staying on as head coach of Leeds Rhinos. We hear from Ryan Matterson who has joined Warrington Wolves with the aim of helping them towards the Super League playoffs and possibly sticking around in England even longer. He tells us about his John Kear has seen it all in rugby league and as he returns to coach Batley he is unphased about the latest significant upheavals occurring in the sport and remains optimistic about its future. England international Paige Travis recently made history as the first woman from her former club St Helens to play in the NRLW competition. She tells us about the experience of swapping Saints for Sydney. Our time machine travels back to the 1960s when rugby league discovered some future stars of the game on the running track rather than the rugby pitch. We pick six players not named in the initial 32-man England squad that could yet find themselves involved in the clashes for the Ashes later this year. We chat to Reece Briers, the son of a rugby league legend who is enjoying his time at Swinton Lions but always with one eye on following in his father's footsteps to a full-time playing career in Super League. Keli and Leah Morris made a little bit of history in June this year when they became the first mother and daughter to play alongside each other in the Women's Super League. They talk to us about their achievement. We profile Zac Schumacher who starred for Queensland in their latest Wheelchair State Challenge victory over NSW and who is now looking forward to taking on the world champions when England head down under later this year. Amy Bird, daughter of Super League stalwart Deon, switched codes to play women's rugby league in Australia and hasn't looked back since. She tells us why she believes league is the right choice for her. All this plus our regular international coverage. ISSUE 510 (JULY 2025) PICTURED - AVAILABLE FROM 27TH JUNE With an uptick in the overall attendance, and a relatively new name on the trophy following Hull KR’s first Challenge Cup triumph since 1980, there was plenty to feel upbeat about after Wembley this year. In addition, we saw Wigan Warriors claim their first Women’s Challenge Cup in style, and York Knights pip Featherstone Rovers to the 1895 Cup in golden point extra time. Not forgetting the Champion Schools final where Rainford High, of St Helens, and Sirius Academy, of Hull battled it out. We have pictures and reaction from all the games. The Wheelchair Challenge Cup final took place shortly after Wembley weekend, and as well as coverage from that clash between London Roosters and Halifax Panthers, RLW editor Lorraine Marsden shares her thoughts on how it could be included as part of rugby league’s annual pilgrimage to the capital in future. A familiar face from television and these days rugby league too was at Wembley handing out the trophies, and we caught up with RFL President Adam Hills to talk about how he views his role in the sport and, as an Australian, whether he will be cheering on England or the Kangaroos in the long-awaited Test Series later this year. We’ve also got Konrad Hurrell facing 20 quickfire questions, a look back to the arrival of a new name in the game in 1975, and our regular international coverage. Plus, we have a very special image of the month where rugby league's first ever Knight, Sir Billy Boston, receives his honour from King Charles at Buckingham Palace. We hope you enjoy our Wembley celebration issue and we’ll be back again next month as attention returns to the race for Super League, Championship and League One glory. Not available in shops. RUGBY LEAGUE WORLD - ISSUE 508 - MAY 2025 Not available in shops. Order here. Digital edition available from Pocketmags.com from Thursday. In rugby league we can perhaps spend too much time reflecting on the things that are wrong in our sport and overlook the good stuff. With the RFL undertaking yet another ‘strategic review’ of its operations, the ongoing dramas at Salford and the loss of yet another expansion club, this time in Cornwall, that’s hardly surprising. But the speed at which tickets for the long-awaited Ashes Series are selling, including ‘sold out’ signs already up at Everton and Headingley, should give us some cause for optimism. Can England win the series, and if they did what benefits might it generate? We dare to dream of the possibilities inside this issue, and we also talk to Wigan’s Harry Smith, our cover star who will be an integral part of trying to turn dreams to reality. We also preview the new Women’s Super League season. It kicks off in the shadow of England’s shocking defeat in Las Vegas, but the players will be keen to get out on the field and prove they can bounce back from that. Can York Valkyrie make it a three-peat? In the Championship, we take a look at Halifax who have enjoyed a flying start to their season, and in League One, we catch up with Huddersfield Giants Legend Eorl Crabtree to discover how he plans to boost the fortunes of Midlands Hurricanes in his new role there as managing director. All this plus our regular features will give you plenty of things to feel positive about amidst rugby league’s seemingly never ending existential crises.
