London Broncos are pleased to announce that RugbyTel, the ethical telecoms provider, will become the new Main Sponsor of the club in 2016. The deal will see RugbyTel featured on the front of the London Broncos first team kits, and they will be central to all the London Broncos community engagement activity with community clubs throughout the South East.
RugbyTel delivers bespoke telecoms services to companies, and creates sustainable revenue streams for rugby clubs and charities. They buy the mobile minutes, the internet connections, and the fixed and IP technology wholesale from the leading network providers, and pass on the cost savings to their clients. Half of the profit from any new agreement introduced by Broncos to RugbyTel will be donated to the rugby club or charity of the new clients choice.
Tom Williams, Commercial Manager at the club, commented on the deal, ‘we are working to find sponsors who really want to work with the club going forward, in helping us build towards a sustainable future. RugbyTel fit this perfectly, as they are passionate about sustainable sport. The deal will not only benefit London Broncos, but community clubs in the South East as well, given the increased engagement activity that this agreement allows us to do. This activity will not only be around helping clubs find more players, but helping them to build up revenue streams to build a strong foundation to grow from.
‘Our new Community Club Partnership Scheme will be announced in the coming weeks, and we will be looking to work with community clubs in the new year as they prepare for the season ahead.’
Gareth Hardy, a Director at RugbyTel, commented, ‘Our deal with London Broncos came about due to their ambition to build a strong foundation for the future. They are also passionate about building stronger links with the rugby league community in the South East to help the game as a whole build and develop from a sustainable foundation. This encapsulates what our business is all about and we are excited about getting to know everyone at London Broncos and in the wider rugby league community in the South East.’
