#2981315 Stadium developments

It has been passed by the council. It now has to go to the Secretary of state to look over. That can take up to two months, but that should be a formality.

#2980914 Rams capture Wildie for 2015

The upping of communication is only a good thing for the club. It has been little to zero in the last few years.

It also contributes to the club being more transparent, which has been lacking.

#2980854 Rams capture Wildie for 2015

Come on, wasn't ever likely to be Sinfield, Tomkins or Hall with our budget was it?

There was no build up or mystery surrounding the signing. Let's have some realism.

#2979524 First Contract awarded to.........

Just a quick question. Do the health and safety rules not require you to have PA speakers in every stand? If there was an emergency you would not be able to hear the announcer sat in the new seated stand.

#2976656 Player of the Year / Presentation night

Posted by Netherton Ram on 13 August 2014 - 05:21 PM

Pryce has been playing really well over the last 5 games. He is running in well and knocking players down. He is also scoring vital tries.

Something has changed over this period as he seems a different player. I have heard his back problem is a lot better though.

You just can't get the staff these days.

#2974945 Ryan Wright

Posted by Netherton Ram on 10 August 2014 - 07:39 PM

Does nobody notice the mistakes Wright makes?

#2972262 Transfer rumours and news

Posted by Netherton Ram on 06 August 2014 - 10:06 AM

The Grayston saga needs to be put to bed now. He has gone and it's over.

All I am saying is maybe we should trust Glenn in the Grayston decision. There are 2 sides to a player and a coach relationship....

The end.

#2971863 Scoreboard

I will put the scores up for sure. Will be a hard task to do it for every point scored though with the task of doing the clock, scorers and score for our own game. Maybe every 10 or 15 minutes would be sufficient.

#2970519 Today's unsung hero

Posted by Netherton Ram on 03 August 2014 - 05:52 PM

Oh, Tom, I'm filling up here.

No, seriously thanks mate. I am pleased to give my time to the club and will continue to do so.

#2969211 Dual-registration inquiry

The 3 game rule only applies if the player is on 20K or more a year.

#2967624 Injuries

I overheard that somebody had 2 broken fingers, maybe Aizue? Wasn't nosey enough to enquire who.

#2965412 Rams release Grayston

Posted by Netherton Ram on 25 July 2014 - 05:28 PM

Then you clearly don't or won't understand NR.

The official release from the club (prior to Tom's personal input) said that the player had been released in both his and the club's best interests. This is a bland political statement at best and disingenuous at worst. Just how is this in the club's best interests when we have heard no explanations for weeks as to why he has been excluded from the squad after showing great promise.

The fans liked Grayston a lot and were asking regularly on tyhis forum for him to be given a chance. the response - silence! this is not the first time that this has happened but we hoped such PR was behind us - clearly not.

Then you have the affrontery to accuse (very) long-standing supporters of moaning and, by implication failing to support the club and team. You futher justify this by mocking our comments regarding the retention of a player on DR. You do undertsnad how DR works I hope, and who the real beneficiaries will be?

Yes, we have been relatively successful so far this season, but woefully inconsistent. That, of course is entirely the fault of the players and no-one else.

I have a reasonably long memory and can remind you of when we have all heard that before, in case you have forgotte

Wasn't mocking anybody. Just stating what people have said.

I do understand how DR works, I do understand certain things, and I am just saying we need to make sure of staying in the league as it would be dire if we didn't.

I understand you are a long time supporter and are welcome to your views. But, I have been watching the club for 20 years, since I was 10. I cannot rack up more years as I am considerably younger than yourself. But, the length of time somebody has supported a club doesn't give them more say into matters. We are all supporters no matter what age.

#2965368 Rams release Grayston

Posted by Netherton Ram on 25 July 2014 - 04:13 PM

I have always loved the overflowing of positivity on this forum. Even when times are fantastic there is much to moan about. Bet if we pull out the forum posts from the Neil Kelly trophy winning season there will be much moaning.

Some on here are saying stupid decisions to let players go and we could still be relegated, then on the other hand complaining when we keep hold of Wood. Lets keep the players that can do the best job for us, the ones that can keep us in this division. We cannot afford to be relegated, so let's secure our place in this division firstly.

#2965289 Tonks departs after five years at Rams

Posted by Netherton Ram on 25 July 2014 - 02:59 PM

Good luck to the lad. The reality is that he isn't big enough to make an impact. Big forwards are the name of the game these days.
