Hawkwindbag
... not 14-0 to Oxford as most results pages are reporting it! Numerous changes to yesterday's team, with Duckworth, Faal, Thomas, Haley, Bell all sitting this one out. And to be honest, we made hard work of it. Despite an early brace to Mvududu, we huffed and puffed and spluttered to a 18-8 half-time lead ... then in the second half only racked up a few points when Oxford spent 20 minutes down to 12 men. Lots of errors crept back in again and I doubt we would have won against many of the stronger teams in the division. So once again we come away scratching our heads as to why we play like two different teams in the Cup and the League, even when taking into account yesterday's changes. Reed was probably our best player, making good yards up front, maybe Mvududu the pick of the backs. Two good tries by Agoro and Barnett, one in each half, but apart from that not a lot to shout about. Improvements required for the visit of Doncaster next week.
