Thanks Padge, I'll try that, as it's coming up to the party season I may get some practise.

I have a question. I went to my bosses retierment party last week, and my camera wouldn't focus on Auto focus, while the flash was on, in the darker corners of the pub, I had had a few sips of an strange brown liquid I beleive to be called Lager, and my own auto focus was malfunctioning, so some of the later pictures were as fuzzy as my memory of the night. So does anybody have any tips for making an auto focus work in lower light levels such as a pub or restaurant etc? I have a Sony Alpha290 with all the usual features of a DSLR. Feed Me. Please? For instance this was taken last week, I have tweaked it, Contrast and brightness wise, but it looks artificial because I was trying too hard with the focus as it may be a long time before we get the Orthopaedic Consultant Surgeons together in one room given their egos, there was one missing, but I don't think he can be photogaphed anyway, being so old he may be undead. The only 15 letter word that can be spelled without repeating a letter is "uncopyrightable"! A 'jiffy' is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second The state of Florida is bigger than England! More Monopoly money is printed in a year, than real money printed throughout the world! Q is the only letter in the alphabet that does not appear in the name of any of the United States!

Pre-Med by Bleep1673, on Flickr Bizarly I got really p155ed during the concert, , and I switched the auto-focus off on both the camera and lens as it wasn't focusing in the low light, once I'd done that I took some better photos (IMHO)

Sitting at home babysitting my delightful 1075 day old daughter, as usual on a Tuesday, next month I start looking after her on a Thursday. We can only afford nursery 3 days a week, so I do Tuesdays, Mum does Thursdays, November we swap over.

Typical. I bet there wasn't anybody from Warrington in the area, but they still get the blame.
