An exceptional performance from her today. In my view, performances like this can have a positive influence on getting youngsters to take up the sport. Equally, there is now a danger that once the honeymoon period is over, the negative comments will start.

Very disappointing press release. I'd like to have seen a much stronger reference to the damage caused by the way Aus has behaved. No indication of the whip being cracked. No guarantee that Aus and puppet state NZ have agreed to take part next year.

Others may feel and act differently of course but this is my position. I will continue to watch on TV as many International, SL and NRL games as I can, and attend as many games in person where my health and personal Covid safety considerations allow.
