  1. Good point well made. The scoreline tells you everything you need to know, Huddersfield the much better team in a game understandably completely lacking in any intensity. Still, we all went home with a smile on our face after Scott Taylor converted his own last minute near length of the field try.
  2. Good point The original one with the shop downstairs. But you knew that
  3. Can be hard to track down but it's a bloomin' lovely beer. House of Trembling Madness in York usually have it in.
  4. It's a bit like watching our team in attack, mate. You wish you could place a bet on which tackle they'll balls it up.
  5. Job done for Cas last week. Can't see them challenging Wigan who should win at a canter.
  6. Sam Smiths do some superb bottled beers but I've always found their cask Old Brewery Bitter to be too hit and miss. So much so that I don't risk it anymore. John Smiths cask used to be really good but I'm going back many years. The keg and canned stuff you get now I find revolting and bears very little resemblance to it.
  7. The Marine is still a nice place to sit on a day like today but it was a whole lot better before Greene King took it over.
  8. First three places in the Vuelta GC all occupied by Jumbo-Visma but the internal team dynamic is getting very interesting and probably just a little bit tense. For all the talk of riding for Sepp Kuss, Vingegaard and Roglic didn't hesitate to drop him on the final climb on the Angliru. He's far too nice a bloke and too much of a team player to criticise his teammates but he must have been thinking they'd shafted him.
  9. I have absolutely no idea where you've got that from. Dufty is going for the ball carrying arm.
  10. Salford have done it before. Beat Catalans in a Challenge Cup quarter final with a try from Dan Sarginson.
  11. Bloody hell how close was that? Thought it was a try all day at normal speed. Lovely kick by Dufty though.
  12. We've both been watching our team long enough to know what was coming last night. I'd like to say I was surprised by just how abject a performance it was but I wasn't.
  13. Yes, some of the stuff we came up with was brainless. We were continually pushing plays that weren't on and the pass Tex Hoy threw for the interception was one of the worst you'll ever see. I know we were missing both our halves but that's no excuse for the rubbish we served up. You have to be able to adapt to losing a player or two. It happens. Despite the best efforts of TransPennine Express I got there just in time for the start of the game. They should have done me a favour and just cancelled.
  14. Can't see Rervers slipping up here. They're a far more effective unit than Huddersfield and have far more at stake
