  1. If there was another one, you'd love him just as much as you love me - and you wouldn't be alone.
  2. I could give you 3 off the top of my head: 1) Friday's challenge by Ablett on Tomkins. 2) When Lee Smith stamped on a Wigan player's head in a game at Headingley a couple of years ago - Ganson actually said to Smith "That is totally unacceptable" and then didn't send him off. 3) In the same game Keith Senior came running in from 30 yards away to get involved in a tete-a-tete that was going on - this offence had seen more than one sending-off in other games at the time but did Keith go? Did he fcuk. If I can remember any more I'll get back to you.
  3. The problem lies with the referee and the influence that the Rhinos carry at headquarters. If Ganson had done his job and sent Ablett off then this discussion would not even be taking place. Ganson is notoriously strict on serious foul play except when it involves serious foul play against Wigan players committed by Leeds players, when he is notoriously lenient, a serial offender in fact. Salford had Boyle sent off the other week for much less than Ablett's challenge on Tomkins - when this got to the disciplinary Boyle got 1 match. Ablett's offence has warranted a 3 match ban yet he stayed on the field. The problem lies with the referees, the man that controls them and in this case specifically with Ganson.
  4. Well, Bentham has been appointed for the game so the Saints fans know that their Challenge Cup campaign ends on Saturday. Silverwood appointed for Wires v Cats so it's Yorkshire Thugs & cap-breakers v Cheshire Thugs & cap-breakers in the final.
  5. This will be a very good signing for Saints. Good to see the operation of the salary cap spreading the talen around too!
  6. I would like you to show me and everyone else in this forum where I have condoned the bricking of a supporters coach or hooligan behaviour of any description please?
  7. Watch the replay, Clarkson clearly loses the ball before it is grounded - a referee doing his job would have gone to the screen and it would have been disallowed.
  8. To be honest, I don't really rate Tomkins, he has it all to prove. As regards touching Tomkins, when he is on the field any opponent can touch him with impunity providing the manner of any such touching is within the rules - Ablett's clearly was not. The last time I saw a challenge of this nature in the Superleague the player was banned for months. Ablett was very fortunate on Friday night, Ganson's handling of the situation was a disgrace but par for the course if you look at his handling of similar situations in Leeds v Wigan games. Ablett has continued to be lucky with the disciplinary. If that challenge had been inflicted on a Leeds player by a player from any other club then the ban would have been much longer and the media bleating about it, much louder. As for O'Loughlin and Tomkins, the reason they got naff all was that the challenges in question were naff all.
  9. Give over - neither of those challenges were of the same order as Ablett's.
  10. Just been told that the Wigan supporters coach was bricked last night by the allotments on St Michael's Lane. Apparently two girls received facial injuries and many other supporters were showered with broken glass. The Police were called and the ambulance service was required to attend to the injured. The supporters were unable to set off back to Wigan until around midnight arriving back at about 1.30am. Just hope the injured girls are OK and not put off from following the club in the future. I have to say that at every level, from the chief executive, through the coaching staff, the players and now down to the speccies, The Leeds Rhinos is a club that is leaving a bad taste at the moment. Thugs on the field and thugs off it. It is about time that the authorities brought them back to earth - some hope!!
  11. Well I didn't see Tomkins do what you claim, however if he did then his behaviour was just as unacceptable as that of Lee Smith in the cup QF, one can only hope that the RFL will view both incidents consistently.
  12. Don't forget that Clarkson knocked on in the act of scoring Leeds first try - why Ganson didn't go to the screen is beyond me. What is more, this aside, Leeds would not have scored in a month of Sundays but for the Coley sinbinning which again was beyond me.
  13. As usual, you are talking out of the business end of your @rse.
  14. Well, if the officials allow Warrington to stand as far offside throughout the game as they did when you played Wigan the other week, you have an excellent chance of beating Saints.
  15. Good to see you having a chelp at us again instead of Saints. Ringpiece getting a bit twitchy is it? Worried that your brains might spill out into your trolleys? Clown!
  16. The consumption of cheese followed swiftly by ignominious surrender are your only options, I suggest that you take them sooner rather than later Pierre.
  17. What, you mean an inexplicably poor decision made by an RFL official might just favour Leeds' chances of finishing in the top four as opposed to Hull's? How cynical, The RFL actually favouring Leeds - I can't believe that you would even suggest such a thing.
  18. The biggest problem for The Bulls is their fans. As a city, Bradford has always been luke-warm about Rugby League - The Bulls had a purple patch when everything in the garden was rosy but now that the glory days are gone their speccies are disappearing fast and I cannot see this trend being reversed anytime soon.
  19. A trifling irrelevance dear boy, a mere bagatelle don't you know.
  20. No, let's leave it open and make it a fan bashing one. I think a 40 grand fine is well in order - for Wakey that is - after all it's in their ground that these obscenities have been shouted and I haven't heard any tannoy announcements requesting that they stop it.
  21. Rule books - how old-fashioned and quaint. These boys like to make it up as they go along - you must have noticed?
