The assistant and the fitness coach will look after him.

Yes good to lift your head up, but bombs in your own 40 that land on the 50, twice attempting a drop with 15 minutes to go, which gave 7 tackles that England scored from, jammin in in defence when not needed, he's a great player and played really well against Lézignan this year. when it comes off it's genius, when it doesn't and teams get used to playing against him you need a little structure and game management to fall back on, The players you mentioned have learnt to do both, but this may my coaching side coming out of me and not the spectator

Yes, the french pro teams don't really scout the french kids, well since the academy finished anyway. they hold trials and anyone can go along. But one good thing over here are the pole espoirs in Carcassonne and salon de Provence and pole france in Toulouse, the kids train every day whilst still doing their studies from thz age of 15 to 17/18 years old. But this again is a selection, they go to school then train afterwards all week and return to their clubs the Weekend, when this finishes at 18 they end up training 2 or 3 times a week back in clubland if they're good enough to train with the elite they still progress but not like they would in a pro club, no elite club is pro. Then university education comes into play and they're finished, cesar rouge brother was an excellent prop with the catalans youth and reserves but gave it up to study engineering. If he was in a real pro club he could do have done both, So yes it's a lack of pro clubs or pro set ups that stops the progress at 18. My son has just finished pole france and will train with lezignan elite (after he recovers from his shoulder op) but he will go from 4 field and 4 gym sessions a week to 3 field and 2 gym sessions (optional). Although he wants to go and join an academy next summer if he's good enough. (he's lucky as he has both passports so no problems for visas)

This team beat the England lions u17s with 50 points in each test. This is the age group of my son so I've watched them all come through, there's a lot of quality, it just stagnates around 18 years old (studies, work, life lack of pro structure etc).

He plays centre with the xiii Catalan team in elite 1 , he's the only player from this french team tonight training as a pro, he's been 18th man a couple of times with the catalans but not made his debut yet.
-
From today the 1 is at catalans, the 4 lenny marc, the 6 Gimenez the 2 replacement props too, only the 1 has played higher than u19s, the 9 was from Toulouse but came through the lezignan system, the 17 from Toulouse too, out of these I reckon 2 or 3 will make full time rugby the rest will play elite 1, jammes, martin and rostang have played elite 1 all year as has the number 1 for xiii Catalan, you may not believe this but the no1 played his first ever game as a full back today, he plays centre and played 13 in the u17s france team.
-
There's another 15/20 players the same level as these players but they level off after u19s
-
Rostang has 0 game management
-
Pity clem Martin is going to union?
-
I reckon france will tire, their season finishes a month ago for the players from catalan and almost 2 months for some, good start from them though.
-
Come on the frenchies!!!
-
Yes the french federation and England RL have been posting links on Facebook
-
The french 19s team isn't the tallest I think the two halves for the game are 5 foot 2 the hooker is 5 foot 4 as is the no 14 utility. The lock is about 5 foot 4 too.

Clement Martin has signed for Montpellier union so the England v france 19s game will normally be his last before starting training with Montpellier. -

There isn't a real Catalan system, it's an under 19s team without contracts but they train 4 times a wek , quite a few kids want to go to England but don't qualify for a visa, unless the rules change they need a contract or can trial for 4 weeks -

Let's see what the score is v the academy. If it's a blow out france are light years away if it's close it's a matter of what to do after the u19s to stay competitive. -
The tv coverage is the best we have, if not its just games on YouTube. A couple of years ago we didn't even have this, people speak of pro rugby league in France! Crowds are disappearing except for the Catalans, playing numbers are dropping, no one is interested on our little regional sport. The federation are trying to get life back into the game but it's too far gone, sorry to be negative. but for us in france it's great to have rl on tv(regional internet channel) and a few thousands at the ground. People outside of France really don't understand how much the game is struggling and how hard the small number of passionate treizistes work to keep it alive.

mourgue is dangerous at replacement 9, when he can just run,
-
Yes, had a couple of good offers in league but decided to go to Montpellier, there's hundreds of players like him in union but not many in french RL,
-
The 20 french players have been announced, probably Clem martins last game of league as he's signed for Montpellier union which is sad for Lézignan,
-
Hopefully he'll get a game, it's a long way just to watch!
-
Do they? That hasn't been announced. The elite u19s teams will be missing players for almost all of October at this rate as the french season starts mid September.
-
How about trying to get a sponsor for the league too? Even a small sponsor would be better than nothing,
-
Good Luck
