Has George decided to leave post Whitehaven, when leavers were paraded and applauded on field? I also hear that Jonny Mitsias hasn't been retained, same applies (though if simply on playing appearances I find that decision totally ridiculous, brilliant defensive centre). I hope the Rams trio are able to improve us more than they could there, I know, give 'em a chance, but it's hardly a sign of upward ambition.

Just seen Cas's release list, Brad Martin who we were due to have on DR at one stage and Kibula, would we, might we? I would....don't see ANY reason now why next year's lot can't be put out, doubt we're signing anybody from Wigan, Hull KR, Wakey, Toulouse, maybe we've picked up from York or Bulls? Maybe not.

Moving and being 18th man for Hunslet in MY opinion is a waste, he may as well have been here being 18th man and training at championship level, ESPECIALLY when we felt it necessary to bring BenK out of retirement.

Fully agree with all the above comments, they just about sum up the organisation/lack of, forethought and self-preservation angles. I DO appreciate that there are only 5 of them (inc Iro), that 4 of them have daily lives and money to earn but decisions appear sometimes to be made on the hoof. Why would we go twice a year and put say £300 a time over somebody else's bar when we need money? Why wait until the last match of the season to find out when people are available? Why is shirt launch now tight to Christmas when it used to be mid- November? Why is our website by far the worst in the entire RL, still advertising stuff long past? The questions go on. People (fans) will help at any level if approached, even a Giants fan contributes to our public face!

If Hunslet have a pack of experienced forwards why did we withdraw him from Cornwall where he was playing (unless he was in a tight spot)? Were he not getting game time there then he'd have been better served training here and re-assimilating into the club. Devil's advocate.....

Well we only saw Rhodes twice in friendlies, would be surprised to see him again but could be wrong, wasn't even playing at Huns late on, and he's not our player anyway, on Giants books. Big guy, can only hope. Same with Paul, but I reckon he'll be back as is Robbie. We must have tied Joe down, surprised nobody nicked him.

Thing is Tomlinson has never found a 'place'. At The Mount he played wing because we had nobody else at the time, then in Linners 1st season was given a centre's shirt for power, but was found lacking in pace in both positions (nowt new there). As 2nd rower he was never going to get past players who were already there. When he came to Dews I thought he'd find his niche but didn't and I was amazed when Fev took him on. If he stays with you March needs to muscle him up and use him at 11/12.

Players still knew how to play KTF, unless they treated Diskin like Bremner treated Brian Clough, except it took 'em longer than 44 days to see him off!

Always ready to be informed BullyXL! I agree 100% about Robbie but where would he stand if Hooley did return? He is a stand-off anyway so would agree with White at 13. If this were to happen, what about the incoming hb? It's not the one from Sheffield, previously mentioned (unless it happened to be tghe sibling of a certain jockey)? As usual though, we'll be kept dangling even though I'd suggest that any incomers won't still be involved in competitive rugby!!

In response to Coolie re; graveyard rugby...how come these reputed 13 have got you relegated but think they can improve and prosper at such as Fev or Fax? Signing elsewhere for an extra couple of grand doesn't make you a better player. Look what happened at Batley post Middle 8's; they paid retained players more and immediately went into a 3 season spiral.

As I understand it a certain Mr. Butterworth has signed a new contract and shouldn't be messed around further. BTW he is actually a stand-off, swap Whitey to 7 or 13. I've been a real advocate for Woods but I don't think he or the team have progressed in the 2 years.

Superstud, that's the signing I understood! Was hoping for some from say Bradford etc who must be off-loading.

As far as I know he has a 2 year contract at Cas with whatever attendant difficulties that brings. That then has further knock-on effects to players who have re-signed.
