  1. If I remember, isn't the 2029 bid meant to be from new people and has nothing to do with 2025?
  2. Dunedin, Invercargill too. Isn't RL meant to be big on the West Coast? Are there any good stadiums there?
  3. Qatar Didn't South Africa bid for 2013 I think it was? I wonder if we'd see a wildcard bid from somewhere.
  4. USA/Canada get there before the rah rahs and I doubt they could do worse than some of the crowds in the heartlands.
  5. Darlington's stadium still 25k, so still too big really. Find it funny Cook Islands v Tonga is in a bigger stadium than the next two England games.
  6. There's a uni in Boro. Have they made any attempts at cheap tickets for students?
  7. Compare that to Ireland and Scotland, who've been in WCs for years and still not bothering with development.
  8. Because they're playing sides at the same level rather than a step up in challenge.
  9. I agree but we need more sponsors and money in the sport and that would come from regular internationals and a varied fixture list.
  10. The problem is France won't improve playing Ireland and Scotland all the time and vice versa. These countries need games v England, Aus, NZ, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji etc more and not just in the WC.
  11. For me, Greece is a potential country where RL could really grow, especially as they now have government recognition, so union wouldn't be able to interfere. We need to build on this and give them more games and opportunity.
  12. We can't compare to union as they get all the media, hype, prestige etc that RL never will, but at least they're giving other nations a chance now. Would England ever play Samoa, Fiji, Lebanon, Greece, Italy etc outside of a WC/warm up? We played Italy once and lost, and haven't played them since.
  13. But we won't grow the international game if we only play Australia and NZ. Hate to use union as an example, but they're regularly playing Japan and Argentina now, when before it was just South Africa, Aus and NZ. The games were very one sided to begin with, but they kept at it.
  14. England should play in it too. So what if we win it comfortably, get building a winning mentality.
  15. If it meant more games on C4, then I suppose it wouldn't be too bad a thing. Can't see sky dropping the Grand Final, it's one of their big events.
  16. Considering sky created the Super League, that'd be an odd move from their end. What are they going to show instead?
