  1. Time he was moved to second row he is big and fast enough, he is never a centre with ball in hand defence not to bad mind, and even though a couple or three years ago he proclaimed himself to be the best Full Back in the comp - he was sadly mistaken.
  2. Eh, are you trying to sound clever, Cognitive Dissonance the discomfort a person feels when their behavior does not align with their values or beliefs WTF.
  3. So you don't believe me again, go to Rugby League Project put in year 81/82 and as if by magic the figures will be there in front of your eyes.
  4. It is quite obvious to me what your intentions would be for Toulouse Olympic in regards as to which division they played in. Let me put you on the spot Tommy, if you were in charge of the RFL/SL/ IMG and we were catagorically staying with a 12 team SL, and for the sake of discussion Fev get promoted and we lose one of the incumbent SL clubs for 2024, would you fast track Toulouse into SL for 2025, and if so at which clubs expense and why? And please don't suggest lets see what the IMG browny points bring, you are the decision maker in this process. Also this question is open to anyone else who cares to answer it.
  5. Tell me Dav, why do you choose to travel 130 miles to Wigan? You know Leigh are in a pretty condensed area for Professional Rugby League clubs and historically well behind Wigan, Saints and Wire in popularity, I should imagine people from those towns would support their local team other than go to watch a near neighbour, albeit I do know Leigh people who do go to those towns to support those teams, most probably doing so at a time it was convenient to hitch a lift on their bandwagons.
  6. Wrong again, and it will probably gall you to learn Leigh averaged 6361 in 1981/2, being the 3rd best supported team in the RL behind both Hull clubs.
  7. As I have said previously if Leigh get 6000 home fans that is very commendable about 14% of the target market, lots of other clubs on demographics fair much worse, and we all know who they are. You may very well be correct that some are maxing out, but do you want to take a punt on a club that has yet to prove anything?
  8. What is the reality Tommy?
  9. But potential or lack of it means jaff all, it is results that count, potentially Toulouse could have done last year what Leigh are doing this year but they failed, before last season started we were being told that 'potentially' Toulouse would have regular 10K crowd's, they would consolidate and be a force in SL, have massive sponsership due to being a Big City team, none of it transpired Tommy, but many are still telling us that they have the potential to be a force in SL as long as they are protected and given an extended stay in SL. If they don't win promotion this year I can't see that they will ever gain enough IMG browny points for them to get into SL.
  10. That word 'Potential' follows Toulouse around like a dog after a ##### on heat. Unbelievable the auto censor does not like the term for a female dog.
  11. Hammer, Nail, Head how many would you expect would pay for RL in isolation, I would albeit I would like Cricket added to it, but I expect for most RL would be peripheral to football which I won't waste electricity on with the exception of a World or European Cup but no need for Sky they are all on FTA. If Sky are not successful in keeping the PL their subscribers will leave in droves and follow whoever gets it, if that happens watch the viewers for SL drop down considerably.
  12. I was under the impression we were discussing Sky subscription RL, not BBC FTA TV
  13. We are not talking about the WC, even I who doesn't watch football looks at the WC I don't watch the domestic game nor take any interest in it, so talk like for like, you brought it up. I won't be looking for it, it was your statement you provide the facts.
  14. That must be your age Dave, I have not lost the bug yet, bug concede there was not that many other distractions as there is now.
  15. Even if Wire win The GF and CC this year, if you still say yes I won't believe you
  16. Sorry but not wanting to sound like a nerd it was a Flux Capacitor and that required the De Lorean to get up to a speed of 88mph which was needed to generate 1.21 gigawatts to enable time travel. Must have watched it a dozen times with my 12 year old son.
  17. Outside the heartlands the locals en masse were not interested enough to make a difference, hence the fall off, unless of course you wanted the authorities to forsake the heartland clubs and put all the resources into the expansion clubs.
  18. I find that extraordinary that there would be a 50/50 split that there would be as many viewers of Sky SL darn sarf as there is in the heartlands, and unless you come up with evidence to back your claim I quite frankly don't believe it. Can't see why you are confused that an employee can save his company money, as in Sky paying the RL less for the next contract.
  19. You know, so how big a chunk are you talking about? No guessing mind. and why was I confused with my last post.
  20. Fine choice of words 'Bottled It' if those who do the negotiating on behalf of Sky get a reduction I would call that good buisness on their part.
