  1. Gannon has just finished his A levels (thats how young he is) and had concussion so i think they are rightly giving him a bit of time. He will be a superstar though, frighteningly good for his age. Bentley is frustrating because when hes been on the field he’s been great but seems to be a liability.
  2. Id put myler on the bench instead of dwyer. Id go Hardaker Fusitua Newman Sutcliffe Handley Austin Sezer Oledski Leeming Tetevano Bentley Martin Smith Myler Prior Donaldon O Conner/walters
  3. One thing that worries me as a Leeds fan about this game. It’s been quite apparent Smith has sacrificed line speed in defence for ‘integrity’ in the defensive shape, it worked a treat against Warrington not so much against Hudds, I fear this will mean Saints making far too many metres. Having said that it’s the first time in a long time we’ve had pretty much our first choice squad available, could be an interesting game.
  4. As the amount of Transgender RL players is so small, especially international ones (are there any at all?), could there be an argument for it being determined on a case by case basis rather than a complete ban?
  5. Team sports are by there very nature unfair as they do not have categories for strength/speed etc. i just feel it’s been knee jerk response to an issue that doesn’t exist.
  6. Quite, Britain seems to be fairly openly Anti Trans - just look at some of the articles in the media. I believe Britain is named 'Terf Island' by some. Anyway, I'm not sure quite why the IRL have just jumped to this decision, I can understand Individual sports but I think Team Sport needs a bit more consideration, especially a team sport like RL where there are no other restrictions in terms of weight/size or strength of the participants. And also it's not like it's some kind of pressing problem that needs sorting - how many Trans International RL players are there?
  7. There’s a lot we get wrong in our sport, but Wheelchair RL is something we’ve got so right, it’s such a great spectacle, everything that is great about RL IMO
  8. I was a bit worried when he said Mcclorum was outstanding when Leeming was easily the best hooker on the pitch. oh don’t get me wrong ill support whoever gets picked 100% I was impressed with how we scrambled i would just like to see more in attack
  9. To be fair you could say that’s a positive about the fixture over a normal international
  10. I think we’ve been boring to watch (Wane’s influence) Don’t get me wrong I’ll take winning the WC by being boring!
  11. One off I think. Did you really think Oxen would miss a chance to release a shirt?
  12. Yep, i think the England team is pretty poor, I also get the sense the All Stars team ( rather bizarrely) feel more passionate about the fixture. Just watched an interview with Kruize Leeming, the emotion and passion about him representing his Mum and where she comes from was clearly visible , and I think Ellery will have them really fired up for it, it might not be correct, but it appears the All Stars seem to take this fixture more seriously. I don’t mind the concept, I’d prefer us to be playing against France every year but it is what it is. I’m not overly patriotic, however I will be a totally 100% committed England RL fan in the world cup, it would be amazing to see us win it. But, tomorrow I’m not that fussed who wins, in fact, I’ll be hoping my Teams players give a good account of themselves and theres more in the all stars side than the England side.
  13. I’ve just seen the team and TBH I think it looks stronger than the England one, I could see them winning by a couple of scores.
  14. Leeds is s fabulous city, never understood why supporting a sports team makes people so cynical or bitter about what is simply geography. But each to their own.
  15. Read what I wrote I didn’t claim they had outnumbered them i said it felt like they did. Which it did at that time. im not sure why it’s taken as a criticism, f you think about it it’s a compliment to your team and how good they are that people think they deserve more people watching them, you should actually feel that way too.
  16. Did you miss my post where I said that the crowd looked better by kick off? And complimented the giants. You e got an excellent side that are great to watch, it is a shame more don’t go to watch them, but that’s not really a dig more an observation, no need to be chippy.
  17. I had a go at the crowd, but i’ll hold my hand up and say it wasn’t as bad as I first thought it did ‘fill up’. You should be very pleased and proud of your club at the moment theyre going great. having slept in it and watching the highlights im not as disappointed as i was last night, in defeat id much prefer is to have lost like we did, we didn’t capitulated like we have and edged the second half, we scored some good try’s against a very good defensive side. We are going to have an up and down rest of the season
  18. Thought you were great tonight, dominated us up front but also looked sharp in attack and very well drilled. I think Leeming dropping out late really affected us and we just couldn’t get to grips with the pace of the game at all in that first half, more even game in the second half but the pathetic effort in defence for the giants try in the second half summed our night up.
  19. Leeds were better in the second half but i was really impressed with the Giants, they look the real deal this year
