  1. The club can't run the risk of not selling as many tickets just to satisfy crowd spotters on TV, the South Stand is the go to stand at Leeds and there wasn't really an option to put the tv gantry on the other side due to it being a shared stand between corporate, the rugby and Cricket. Moving the camera position won't solve the issue of falling attendances, the plan should be to fill that stand not hide it away
  2. The Southstand is the most popular stand, it would be commercial madness to close that before selling out the North Stand. As I said above its not the stadium that's the issue.
  3. The stadium isn't the issue, what they have done to modernise an old stadium is fantastic IMO. The issue is the fair being served up on the field, ever since the stadium has been renovated the team and performances have fallen well short of what had gone the previous 15+years. If Leeds can get back to being anything like they should be there will be a difference in both atmosphere and attendances. Also Thursday nights are terrible and we seem to have had non stop Thursday night games in crappy weather, unfortunately the first Friday night home game will be against Saints and if they don't change their attitude quickly it will be an utter embarrassment. Ive said this on the Leeds forum but as a usually optimistic Rhinos fan Im really despondent at the moment The performances on the field The state of the pitch The sub par Kit and apparel supplier pedalling cheap tat on sale every week The Thursday nights in terrible weather (it was nice last night to be fair) All are making life as Leeds supporter fairly miserable at the moment, a club the size of Leeds with the facilities they have should be doing better in every respect.
  4. Id gladly pay for a player’s edition shirt, if they don’t end up selling them as they usually do it wol be the first time in over 20 years I haven’t bought a shirt
  5. And ironically we haven’t actually worn the away shirt yet, it would also have clashed with Wakefields home shirt
  6. Yep, really weird one, but then if anyones read my thoughts on Oxen on here they’d know I think they’re dire and I wish we had have gone with a much better supplier. So to go along with the Pink kit that isn’t needed, we’ve got a whole new range of training gear that’s not needed, which I’m sure will be on sale within a week or so. Really wish the club had gone with someone like Hummel both their kits snd training gear look a class or 5 above Oxen’s rubbish.
  7. And the leeds public would probably do anything to have a team as successful and as good as when we we’re getting those attendances the great attendance point was in context of attendances at the time. Leeds have a lot of work to do on and off the field to get back to those types of attendance figures. One thing that won’t help is we don’t have a home fixture on our preferred Friday night until round 7, if we can pick up the performances on the field I would hope that game against Saints would get a decent crowd
  8. There’s nothing that i wrote that isn’t true. Leeds V Cats has always been one of the lowest attended games at Headingley. The attendance this week wasn’t great and should be better, it was still the highest of the week, don’t get me wrong our attendance figures have dropped, weve had a perfect storm of factors, stadium rebuild, covid, and poor performances.
  9. Leeds v catalans at home has never got great attendances, eg 2014 it was below 8,000 i think
  10. Unfortunately I think you’re correct, even without the weather situation I’ve heard Wigan have been disappointed with ticket sales
  11. To be fair Leeds’ falling crowds are being a bit over stated IMO take covid out of it and the couple of years when the stadium was being redeveloped they’ve consistently hovered around 14-15k average for a decade and I expect is to get that this year good article here, Wigans decline is worrying https://www.totalrl.com/up-or-down-an-in-depth-club-by-club-look-at-attendances-over-the-past-decade/
  12. Leeds were averaging 14-15k steadily but the stadium redevelopment in 2018 meant a drop to 12,500, I think well be back up to 14k-15k again this season Theres not really been a downward trajectory as such because you have to take into account the redevelopment
  13. Regarding the Leeds attendance, I was disappointed with it (although the atmosphere was very good). We do have to accept the downside of terrestrial tv coverage could mean a small drop in the usual attendance for that game. I can well imagine a fair few people deciding not to bother going because of the time, weather and the fact its live on channel 4. It does feel and look like Leeds are trying more this season to get crowds back, we’ve had the perfect storm of, stadium rebuild, ###### performances and covid over the last 5 years!
  14. Has the presenting line up actually been officially announced? Adam Hills on Sunday Brunch mentioned it but said something like, I think Channel 4 are now covering Super League, didn’t sound like he was presenting it?
  15. I think we might get 17-18k? should be a great atmosphere
  16. Think getting Sinfield on is great, he's probably the highest profile RL personality we've had in a long time
  17. Think Tim Lovejoy is a fan of RL aswell so it might get some decent coverage on the show
  18. Fridays are the best for corporate clients, id say unfortunately but i prefer Fridays to be honest
  19. Pah only 50% off?, Oxen currently have a 65% sale on Rhinos gear!
  20. Hummel easily the best kit/training gear supplier at the moment imo, gutted Leeds haven’t gone with them
  21. Yeah the lighting in that shot is terrible, makes it look like parts of the short are actually red, is it black or dark blue?
  22. Unfortunately I looked!!! Although did see this, which really should just be the away shirt...
