  1. I read that as if it had been dealt with correctly we wouldn’t have the carnival we are having now, and I agree. Options should have been 1. Get within the £1.2m cap or 2. Don’t start SL and we will put someone else in. Deadline 1/11/24
  2. Get yer cash on Wakey!! M62 is awful and heard Leigh team will be lucky to make ko. We Set off at 4.45 and have just made Hartshead for a relief stop
  3. Was that the structure that saw Leigh and HKR promoted ? That allowed clubs with SL aspirations to remain or become FT ?
  4. A very good sauce tells me Oasis are the prematch at Wembley
  5. Hopefully a good close game and a good crowd - looking like 1200+ making the journey over
  6. Good to know, just used to being allocated tickets for away games- Leeds Wakey and Cas being the awful ones. Rest of grounds are fine for safety, facilities, keeping dry and views.
  7. Moran knows how to sell a gig. Huge interest all over England judging by conversations I have had
  8. I cocked up also but RLC reset my code - Everton will sell out today imho
  9. I didn’t know that - so we need to encourage away fans to snap up the covered terrace opposite- that will also create a better atmosphere imo
  10. Was told at the weekend that 70% of the working population 0f Leigh commute outside for work, a far cry from 40 years ago when Coal and manufacturing ruled. The same will apply to most Northern Towns I would imagine, and indeed most Towns in Western Europe - creating both opportunities and threats for RL communities. I have never heard when asked where they live, anyone to answer someone who didnt know of Leigh - ''Leigh near Wigan'' btw I have heard ''Leigh nowhere near Wigan'' ''Near Manchester/Bolton'' and ''On the East Lancs, between Manchester and Liverpool''
  11. The disallowed try was the turner, this ref/ VR combo is poop at best. Both calls on refs call imo
  12. Disagreeing is good, you are wrong though as you also missed off the role of organising the defence.
  13. for any fans going tonight at 7.05pm on the stage you will be able to watch the band at No1 in this weeks album charts - Well done to Leighs very own Lottery Winners
  14. How does that pay the wages? Letting then do as they have always done means we will get what we always got
  15. Admitting I am always right is also something the wife struggles with
  16. Armstrong wasted on the wing/centre. We didnt have a problem Game 1 or indeed any until last week, when a depleted pack got no territory for 25 mins, then we blew 2 real chances. Pene is a waste of a quota spot at present so pay him off and bring 2 in - we have the cap space. Lam was absent last week - it happens and OB was coming back after a failed HIA. Mulhern and Halton make a huge difference, that gives a lot more space to the halves.
  17. Its not now - the Ashes will create the buzz that RL, including NRL, needs to expand and increase its value. A SL/NRL partnership is a no brainer going forward, the mutual benefits are huge.
  18. Through all these posts there is only one realistic solution - Salford are controlled centrally on as low a cost as possible, offload any high earners and get a dispensation on the number of loanees to season end - they then lose their SL spot in 2026 to a club that is told immediately they will be in SL 2026 so they can build and recruit now. This allows Salford to plan for the Championship and rebuild. We must action this now, avoid the weekly/monthly embarrassment to focus on the massive positives that we have coming up. Alternatively the NEW OWNERS put the money in now to guarantee financial security and pay back advances/HMRC
  19. Propping up seems the best option at the lowest affordable cost and dispensation on loanees - get the games off the main channels and see our tv commitments through, with a caveat that their fixtures be reviewed when T6 is being settled
  20. Isn’t that what I said, this may simply be a choice of what’s least financially damaging in £ terms. Looks to me like You’d row with a mirror
  21. Don’t think that would have the same financial hit
  22. Or would be working the sustainability cap ran by the RFL or would have been replaced in November
