When are players going to learn about back chatting the ref? Latest score 42 - 20.

My nerves can’t take this much longer! Completely in control at 18 - 0 then switched off for 20 minutes. Defence in the last 20 minutes was immense. Gilliam’s hit on Grady turned the game. The forwards are starting to show a bit of form now, if only we had a 7 who could control things of the back of it. Gillam man of match for me.

Another must win game, play like the first 20 minutes from last week and I’d be confident of a win. Can see Widnes coming out all guns blazing after their defeat last week.

That was terrible. When Iaria, Wood and Gillam were off Barrow folded like a cheap deck chair over and over again. Would love Chisholm at Barrow, a 7 who runs the show.

Must win game tomorrow.

Wonder if a new player is coming in? Definitely short in the halves now.

He’s pretty much said he wants more game time to improve him as a player then return to Barrow in the future a more complete player.

Tom Hopkins left the club with immediate effect. Not had a look in this season.

Definitely deserves a decent run in the team. Looked really good in the bits of pre season games he played in. Whenever he got his hands on the ball things seemed to happen.

Think he was out with concussion. We’ve definitely not seen the best of him yet. He’s playing in a team with no confidence and not getting much ball.

Johnston can play hooker, can’t knock his effort when he plays there but he’s not a hooker. Just read that Josh Wood has a 1 game ban, not sure if it’s true.

And to top it off Connor Saunders has now been sent to Whitehaven on loan for a month as they are short of hookers apparently! So are we!

The team this season is playing a much different style to last year, way to predictable this season unfortunately. Last year was off the cuff and entertaining, Cresta called it rocks and diamonds if I remember correctly.

Didn’t even notice Evans or Brooks on Friday. Burke made more of an impact than them but not enough. Definitely need Emslie on the bench.

I got the 12.33 train to Barrow from Askam and it was rammed with some Haven fans in club colours who were behaving and a lot of young lads who were already steaming and you could tell they were out for trouble. When getting off the train they carried on into town only arriving at the ground about 2.30 ish. Out of the approx 400 who travelled down about 40/50 were looking for trouble and didn’t like it when some Barrow fans when back at them after having drinks thrown over them. This group of young lads need kicking out of every ground they go to starting with Haven.
