RL professes to be an elite sport. Some teams this year are simply not conditioned properly or fit enough to compete. There are 4 teams in SL that are not up to the standard required. The gap in the table tells this story. Part of the issue is that there hasn't been enough British Isles based players developed to the required standard in the past 10-15 years and now the top league has effectively only 8 teams with fair chance of being competitive on a weekly basis. The future of the game critically depends on kids becoming interested enough to play. That requires an active media presence by semi pro and pro clubs, a strong international commitment and consistent program and more funding for youth development.

This is what happens when you have to sell your soul to survive. Soccer is dictated to in the same way.

Had to listen on the radio as I was overseas but it seemed like Rovers defended really well and took opportunities when they arose against a tough team. I'm convinced, if this level of discipline and defence can be maintained, that Rovers will reach the GF and will have a decent chance of winning.

As a Rovers fan it's almost a win-win situation. If Wigan win, Leeds likely have nothing to play for next week when they visit Craven Park. If Leeds win, we have half a chance of winning the LLS. Of course we have win at least one of our last 2.........

The elephant in the room for Rovers is that they have virtually no kicking game. If someone like Mark Sneyd had been a Robin this year we'd have won the league after 24 games. This one will come down to who wants it most.

Leigh just needed to keep their spine fit to repeat last years achievements.

Saints to make a fist of it but to win narrowly.

ALAW, MOT etc..... Leeds fan for a day etc.....

Unless Wire are really dire, they'll win quite comfortably.

Don't think Rovers will win this. A win against Leeds in the last game will be the target to finish 2nd. Leigh may just want this one more.

A depleted Wire should easily be good enough to see off the Saints. The LLS is probably beyond Wire now but 2nd is still very doable.
