  1. Even some digital tickets haven't been sent out yet. Still waiting for mine, for example.
  2. I am just assuming that having taken that down, they have 'reallocated' and renumbered tickets accordingly as I don't think any had been sent out by then. Let's see!
  3. If you look on the ticketing website, the tickets for standing areas are allocated by number. You can see in each stand how many have been sold, therefore.
  4. Agree on all of those things. Excellent fan zone.
  5. I am not sure they are quite at the St Helens total yet, although it is probably not too far off. There have only been 4,460 standing tickets sold so far, with 550 or so behind the sticks at each end. That means that there are 2,000+ tickets remaining in the East stand, 3,000 on the Western Terrace and 2,000+ in the South Stand. Take that 7,000 off the capacity of 19.700 and we are at 12,700 if every seat is sold. I would be more than surprised if some seats don't become available in the next 48 hours too, albeit only a few.
  6. The timing of Huddersfield was wrong, but I would argue that the stadium is actually well-suited to RL internationals.
  7. Here's some recent results in one place, with their current world rankings in brackets: Sunday France Women (4) 14 Wales Women (9) 4 Saturday Italy (14) 50 South Africa (26) 20 Malta (19) 56 Philippines (33) 22 Netherlands (18) 36 Czech Republic (27) 2 Greece (16) 24 Ukraine (28) 38 Malta Women (17) 0 Philippines Women (14) 42
  8. Even with the 'Headingley having a game next week' effect, there's only 22,500 tickets been sold for the two games thus far. Given that there will be plenty attending both games, and some from outside the Kirklees/Leeds areas, I think it is still poor. There's still 7,000+ standing tickets left to sell at Headingley, so the aggregate crowd for the three games is loitering around the 35k mark currently, with little chance of making 40k.
  9. Bizarrely, the Carcassonne men are warming up in the in-goal area whilst the game runs. They have even put their cones out! And there's the final whistle, as Wales go close again. France 14 Wales 4
  10. Lovely try for Wales, but it comes a little late. Ball though hands from one side of the pitch to the other and a fine finish in the far corner. 4-14 with 3 minutes to play.
  11. They love their RL there. And it is a great place to visit. There's also a stand on the camera side which is a fair size too. I would recommend a visit to anyone.
  12. Of course we do, but in the absence of those opportunities, that was a better runout than against France. We’ve some big challenges coming over the next two years all being well.
  13. There’s plenty of incentive for community clubs to sell tickets. Indeed, the 30% off deal is STILL available to clubs for Headingley as we speak. If £17.50 adults and £8.75 for kids is too much for International RL, then we really are struggling. Each game also has the same ticket deal for all friends and families of participants in pre-match activities such as flag waving, mascots, ball boys etc. That amounts to hundreds of tickets. I have no knowledge of any freebies being given out to community clubs. And why stick an arbitrary radius on it? I’ve taken community groups of 80+ to games that are hours away.
  14. Makes interesting reading with some positive comments from newcomers. There's a few Aussie trolls knocking about further down the page with less positive things to say.
  15. Yep, and I also felt we went quite basic in attack in the last 20 mins, just to see the game out. We didn't need to get out of second gear really.
  16. What is refreshing with this England team is that, despite missing some big names, they have won this series at a canter. They can definitely do better and if they click, have 20pts+ on the Tongans.
  17. Just back from the game. Some observations from my point of view: 1. Poor crowd, another pretty quiet atmosphere, but glad I went as it was an enjoyable day 2. One of the better stadiums to watch rugby league, just a shame about point 1 3. Well done England. Missing a number of high profile players, they've won the series and done it quite comfortably 4. I love International RL and I won't be part of the Catch 22. I will always attend when England are playing, but I appreciate the RFL can't (and shouldn't) rely on everyone else to think that way
  18. And, we got there early and couldn't sit in the reserved seats, so had to sit behind a pillar. Then, blow me, the wedding starts and there's nobody in one row of the reserved seats.
  19. Pre-match pint in the Head of Steam. Fair to say they have not staffed for a game day.
  20. England and France have developed a huge (but very positive) rivalry in the Wheelchair game and I really hope that this can transfer to the Pacific Nations too. The women's game and the wheelchair game are both brilliant and refreshing formats of the game to watch. The test match a week on Sunday in Leeds (and there will be a big crowd) will be fantastic too.
