New venture started by the Knights

 

Mick Rammo has been down to New Earswick and Heworth U/18s training sessions in the last few months & has now set up a `Development Group’ which he will coach every Sunday comprising of nine young players who are all between 16 and 18. In the next few weeks, there will hopefully be another five coming in from the Acorn with lads from Selby Warriors & York Locos hopefully to be added in the future. The idea is to teach them how to lift in the gym (led by Jay Salter) and good techniques/skills on the field (led by Rammo and Will Leatt) along with experiencing a professional environment by training alongside our young reserves. Joe Deighton has been offered a trial & will be on the bench tonight for the under 20's, he plays for Heworth currently and previously spent some time on Featherstone’s scholarship. This development group enables the Knights to coach good habits and skills, training alongside our young reserves and also gives some of them the opportunity to play in our reserve team on a triallist basis.

 

Don't forget - under 20's home v Keighley tonight 8pm - Ben Reynolds, James Clare from Cas, possibly A.N.Other.... and a lot of our good young lads on show.
