The Club Doncaster Foundation are delighted to announce the launch of walking football in partnership with Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council and Sheffield and Hallamshire FA.

The concept is aimed to target inactive/less active adults, both male and female, to participate in the walking format of the game.  Not only does walking football keep you active, but it also brings people together to improve their general health and wellbeing.

The first session will take place on Wednesday 8th April from 6pm-7pm in the soccer cages based at the Keepmoat Stadium at a cost of £4 per player.

The Foundation are encouraging participants to use this as a way to get back into taking part in regular sporting activity regardless of experience.

Commenting on the programme, participation manager, Gareth Cook said: "We are really looking forward to be running this initiative and hope to attract around 20 players to take part. We hope the success of the programme will lead to a long term sustainable concept"
