Doncaster RLFC have named their new mascot as Parky after winning with 47% of the vote.

Parky, who is named after former Dons player Kevin Parkhouse, will be introduced to fans for the first time on Sunday as Coventry Bears travel to the Keepmoat Stadium in Betfred League One.

Doncaster RLFC chief executive Carl Hall said: “It’s with great pride to say we can now call our new mascot Parky, Kevin was Dons through and through and it’s a nice way for us to remember him. I need to thank the Yorkshire Wildlife Park for all their hard work throughout the process as they become our mascot sponsor for the remainder of the season.”

Buy tickets early for the visit of Coventry Bears to the Keepmoat Stadium in Betfred League One and save from the Club Doncaster Box Office on 01302 762576, or via tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.

Does this mean that Parky is still going to be going about the detrimental effects of Toronto or will he be too busy with his new duties?
