Role: Women’s Super League Physiotherapist

Location: Robin Park Arena

Job Type: Part-time (8 hours per week, includes weekend/bank holiday)

Overview:

Wigan Warriors Women are looking to appoint a qualified Sports Physiotherapist to assist as part of their Super League programme.

Your Credentials:

  • The post-holder must be a qualified Chartered Physiotherapist, and registered member of The Health and Care Professions Council. 
  • A minimum of 1 year post-graduate experience and have some experience of working within a rugby league or a professional sports team environment.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills are crucial to the role.
  • Current RFU/RFL pitchside/IMMOF qualification or equivalent is desirable along with a comprehensive CPD Portfolio with evidence of interest in sports medicine/sports physiotherapy. 

Job Description:

The successful candidate will report to the Head Coach of the Women’s Rugby League team as part of the multi-disciplinary performance team. Working primarily with the Wigan Warriors female programmes, duties will include:  

  • Assessment, Screening and Rehabilitation of all Wigan Warriors female players. 
  • Design and implement management plans for all Female players. 
  • Provide Pitch-Side Care for all female matches. 
  • Carry out appropriate record keeping of all Injuries. 
  • Complete general department management and liaise closely with senior staff.
