Five early, bold predictions for the 2024 Championship season

Article seems to have a somewhat Yorkshire bias as usual - last year they were tipping Keighley for a top 4 finish and look at what happened to them.  Doncaster only scraped promotion and Dewsbury are a bit of a yo-yo club so despite what appears like decent signings they will still be in the scrap with at least 4 other teams (including Barrow & Haven) to avoid relegation.  Hopefully plans for Championship & League 1 in 2025 are fully clarified before the 2024 season kicks off. Could be a very competitive Championship this year apart from Wakefield.

Biased reporting from Pontefract Yorkshire....

Two Cumbrian sides in danger

2025 could well be the first time since 2018 that the second tier has no side in Cumbria in the division. Both Whitehaven and Barrow Raiders were so close to relegation in 2023 – surviving by just points difference and one point respectively – that it appears likely that both could be in the same predicament in 2024. However, with Dewsbury and Doncaster being promoted, the Championship arguably looks an all-round tougher competition next season which could harm Haven and Barrow’s chances of surviving once more. - 'Callum Walker, Total Rugby League'.
