I'm told it's Potter. Announcement tomorrow.

We've got our man mate.

I really think we'll kick on now on Sunday and put Salford to the sword (sorry Tony).

Bradford Bulls 44-18 Salford with 9,780 in the famous old stadium.

I don't know how true the following is but it comes from a Saints fan off the Bradford board saying that Potter could be released early in order to take over Bradford this season as Royce is waiting in the wings to take over at Knowsley Road.

Interesting take on it all.

no truth in it afaik. he's got that from a badly worded report in local st helens paper that said simmons was lined upto replace potter which neglected to say that it was starting next year. plus it would make statements we've made about st hilaire being in charge for rest of season look pretty foolish.

The squad is:

Addy, Halley, L'Estrange, Hall, Lynch, Sheriffe, Crossley, Finigan, Kopczak, Olbison, Menzies, Reardon, Godwin, Nero, Kearney, Whitehead, Worrincy, Langley, Platt.

What's that saying, 'same sh*t, different day'!

No coach, no half backs, no kicker, no form, no confidence. If Salford can't win this one they'll never win at Odsal again.

I wonder why Southernwood isn't in the squad.
And when they found our shadows
Grouped around the TV sets
They ran down every lead
They repeated every test
They checked out all the data on their lists
And then the alien anthropologists
Admitted they were still perplexed
But on eliminating every other reason
For our sad demise
They logged the only explanation left
This species has amused itself to death
No tears to cry no feelings left
This species has amused itself to death

Startling line up should look like this

Reardon
Sheriffe
Platt
Nero
Halley
Addy
Kearney
Lynch
L'Estrange
Kopzcak
Menzies
Whitehead
Langley

Godwin
Hall
Crossley
Olbison

Addy gets his big chance to kick the goals in the absence of Sykes.

Some confidence, and all using the same hymn sheet should be good enough for a win. I saw Addy last year and I rated him as very promising, and this year he has certainly physically developed. I don't see a problem with his kicking, and I hope some of our so called 'experienced' players now start showing some of their so called talent.
I still shudder at our wafer thin defence against the Quins last week, every time one of their players ran at our defensive line, it was very much a fifty fifty chance they'd burst through it.

Jesus wept, I'm sorry but if I see him down on the team sheet tomorrow I may just fancy a Salford win.

I have nothing against him, it's just that he tries his best and somehow fails everytime to which we can conclude that he isn't good enough to play at this level.

Agree, but it's not been bad all season as I was so impressed with the goal line scrambling and the way the team really worked together to defend for one another in the pre-season game at Leeds and to some extent the early Super League rounds.

What we have now is nothing short of a disgrace.

We need to be recapturing our early season defence and quick because with six games to go it's everything to play for.

I agree with that. Our defence has been pretty solid in some games and so has the attack, but never in the same game, as yet. To be fair, with the injuries there has been a great deal of shuffling players about , which clearly hasn't helped, either with keeping the defence tight or with fluidity in attack, but it's do or die pretty soon and given that we've still got Wigan, Saints and HKR away to play, it could be do or die right now.

We have to be honest in that we aren't going to get any points from the three away games.

Not playing like we have been.

Feel confident for once. We have no excuses. All St Hilaire need sto shout is "new contracts" and the effort should be there happy.gif (I know it should be there anyway.) Not sure with Addy halfback though, NIG responsibilty andit is also not his regular position. I suppose we don't have many options. Are Southernwood, Wardle and Halley injured? Feel Reardon could be a masterstroke at fulback after watching him there for the 20 minutes or he was there the other week. He can be a great last line of defence on his day.
