Bill Harrigan and Stuart Raper sacked

CO-COACHES Bill Harrigan and Stuart Raper have been sacked from their positions under a NRL refereeing restructure.

The Australian Rugby League Commission has announced a leadership restructure for NRL refereeing with the appointment of a new NRL Referees Elite Performance Manager to be made in coming weeks.

The move will also lead to changes in other senior positions.

Russell Smith has been named Interim Manager of the NRL Referees Department and will assist the NRL General Manager of Football Operations, Mr Nathan McGuirk, in finalising the make-up of the 2013 squad.

No great surprise the video refs in particular have been ridiculously inconsistent. I bet Hollywood goes into hiding, I can't see his ego taking this too well.
