If I remember rightly, that was the last fixture between our great clubs at The Athletic Grounds (now Morrison's). I have memories of Mick Worrall being sent off near to the end but time plays tricks and maybe i'm confused. I have a programme somewhere......again, maybe i'm confused!

Very sad news. One of those workhorse players every successful side needs. Played prop, wing, centre, second row...you name it, Colin would do it if asked. Thanks for the memories Colin.

More to this than meets the eye. The off field improvements (whatever they were) will revert to snails pace or nothing withing a very short time frame. One step forward, two steps back...'twas ever thus!

The Grand Final this last weekend, had huge swathes of Old Trafford with empty seats. This was between (arguably) the two biggest clubs in the game, in what was a perfect, Lancashire/Yorkshire shoot out. 15 yrs ago and 10 yrs ago, you couldn't get tickets for this game. The people that run the game have lost the plot with constant rule changes, structural changes and expansionist ###### that have robbed the heartlands of opportunity. Only when the last foot has the last bullet squarely through the foot may they realise the damage they have inflicted on the greatest sport in the world. Rugby Yawnion has beaten us by having smarter people running the game (and they aren't without their problems, I acknowledge)

I used to be a diehard, then i became a frequent attender, then i became a regular attender, then i became an infrequent attender, then i became an occasional attender.....now, sadly....i'm a rare attender. I'm gutted....I feel ashamed at times because I feel like I've abondoned my club. Then, I am reminded......actually, my club abandoned me by lack of ambition, lack of direction and leadership, lack of investment, lack of empathy for its long suffering supporters I am not the problem....I am a statistic......

Even if the impossible happened....and there is more chance of Boris Johnson switching to Labour and leading them to victory at the next election.....we would be anhialated by whoever had the good fortune to play us in the first round. You've lost yer marbles Shrew!

About 3 months ago upon the signing of the Melrose playing fields lease, Littler said.... “When I came to the club I spoke to Chris and John about putting structures and facilities in place to assist the club with progressing. “On the back of the excellent gym facilities at Glo Gym and the staff we have in place we are building systems that will support the team’s ongoing development.” ......really Stu????? No evidence so far. At least we are launching a Women's team though
