  1. I have travelled fairly extensively throughout this wonderful country of ours, and I always find time to look at war memorials just to see if there is anybody with my surname on there. It's rare that i discover my Surname as it's relatively rare outside of South Lancs (although when I lived in Uxbridge there was a Doctor with the same name & initials as me). When I went on www.cwgc.org I found Men with the same name as me, quite chilling really.
  2. We have a butcher in Hastings TC, in Queens Arcade (where TV was first demonstrated), that can get anything you want in a 24 hour notice. He also sells regularly Kangaroo, Buffalo, Crocodile & Zebra meat. (I'll do the rubbish joke for you, "Hey waiter, I want a crocodile sandwich, & make it snappy)
  3. Good, but better... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQg_t8NYfvo
  4. Not sure if this is true or not, but I hear Broncos are going to be sponsored by Tampon next year, because they are going through a bad period. Where's my coat
  5. Just walked past my "Local" butchers, and they are having a push on Goat - Tastes like lamb, but 2/3 of the price - so I stopped to take a look, and it was mostly bone, very little meat on it at all. I'd rather wait for my Mrs to have a weekend at her Mums in London & have a trip either along Stroud Green Road, Green Lanes or out to Wood Green
  6. I did Chicken, Ham & Pancetta Pie last night, making the pastry myself, tonight is \\spag \bol night as it's the Mrs's turn to cook, tomorrow will be a Thai Chicken Curry
  7. Compare & Discuss.... I was there, bloody hell, ten years ago, & it's still as wet

  12. I had Oysters for the first time in my life a couple of weeks ago, really fresh, locally landed ones, I ordered a 2nd helping, much to the annoyance of Mrs Bleep. For my 50th I also tried Razor Clams, they are amazingly good, considering you can pick them up on the beach for free. Mussels grom on tghe rocks down here and if you so wish (& I do), you can harvest them at low tide (although sometimes you have to fight the Gulls for them.
  13. I dont get much further than c611/614/617, I have a 4 year old.
  14. Girlfriends Birthday today, going to be the hottest day of the year, so we are heading for the beach at Cooden, as it's likely to be quieter than Hastings or St Leonard's, she was talking about going to Camber, but I, thankfully, talked her out of that one as it will be very crowded.
  15. I had a great day out yesterday at the Eastbourne Air Show, with my little girl, (Bleep2008) I took loads of photos, and was looking forward to sharing the best with this forum. Then I got home and realised I had left my memory card still plugged into my computer, and I hadn't taken a single shot.
  16. Whew, that got rid of that then...... DSC01353 by Bleep1673, on Flickr
  17. 2 years ago we stayed at the Royal Decameron in Jamaica, Fully Inclusive resort, with 3 pools, one of them Child Free, and it was bliss, as the Yank kids were too loud. Proper inclusive drinks (Local of course) which included "Overproof" rum (80%). 3 big meals per day, watersports, and a complimentary bus to Ocho Rios Very Nice, except for the name D. Cameron!
