  1. A few Glasses? I would need a few bottles to render me so close to death that I couldn't reach the remote, to watch that muck.
  2. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/picturegalleries/7808977/The-worlds-strangest-weirdest-and-scariest-airports.html?image=7 One of the worlds scariest airports at no 7. And Funchal, BEFORE they lengthed it was my destination in 1996 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/picturegalleries/7808977/The-worlds-strangest-weirdest-and-scariest-airports.html?image=12
  3. Had a beer with the Health & Safty officer for our trust last night, his job is being cut, so no H&S @ ESHNHST until we can employ someone to do the job on a pay scale 3 less than his, on a part-time basis!
  4. Linky Dink Read on for evidence that Bradford and Leeds were cheating in 1892, lousy scumbags!!
  5. My commute: IN, 10 minute walk, 14 minute bus Home, 10-25 minute wait for bus, 14-35 min bus journey, depending on whether I get the 26 or 26A then have to change at Silverhill to a 21A because the bus driver finishes work early. There are no buses after 8pm from the hospital, there were no buses on a Sunday until 3 months ago, even now they don't get there until 1015, and the last one leaves at 1815, no good for visitors or staff. Stagecoach must be the worst organised company in the UK, they haven't given the drivers a pay rise in 4 years, but there is a employment blackspot around here so they cannot go elsewhere, I think Stagecoach also ban Unions, so they can't strike(?), at a weekend there is no buses after 9pm on a Sunday, and only 2 after 10pm on Saturday, the Taxi firms increase their prices to double rates after 9pm, any wonder thieving Bast***'s. When I work Sundays, as this week, I have to leave at 7am, and return at 9pm, or pay £10 for a 10 min taxi ride
  6. Making sweet tomato chutney. (Madhur Jaffreys recipie) Got to fill those Kilner jars I got for my Birthday with something... Not got a day off, working nights tonight Nice & sunny here in Hastings, I hope it's sunny where you are too.
  7. 50 next June amh, and I feel it. Especially when I shave and see all those grey hairs, and my Dad looking back at me in the mirror............
  8. It's not a new photo, yes the pier is still there, but it looks derelict. They have the money to rebuild it apparently
  9. Hastings Pier by Bleep1673, on Flickr Just trying somefin
  10. When I left London, the 'tag line' on my leaving poster was "When man is tired of London, he is tired of life - Samuel Johnson, When man is really tired of London he gets the F*** out of it - Me"
  11. I am so glad I no longer have to travel around London on a daily basis anymore, it was doing my head in. When I go back now for personal reasons, I can't beleive how horrible it is, and can't wait to get back to the fresh air by the seaside here in Hastings. (Yes, it's not St Tropez, but it has it's moments)
  12. Off to Hastings Food and Wine festival today, should be a good one, lots of local Wine and ciders to taste...
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQ0P-2DsANY Strange Video, but excellent tune
  14. Early reference to a North London Rugby League Team, barman in early shot seen wearin a tee-shirt saying "I'm a Skolar", tenuous, I know.... 13-17 seconds into the Video Hijack
  15. Ditto - today. Tomorrow I am on a 12 hour shift 0800-2000, how did I pull that one after 18 days off?
  16. Ditto, Manchester. Although if you like plane spotting, there are 2 pubs west of Heathrow, with beer gardens that you can sit in while indulging. One in Horton, called theThe Five Bells, Horton , another is The Punch Bowl, Colnbrook both on the flight path in/out of Heathrow. Quick story, a friend of a friend is a commercial pilot for BA, and was taxiing his aircraft at the end of the runway and noticed one of the plane spotters listening to the Short Wave radio, with his finger up his nose trying to pull a stubborn bogey out, when the pilot announces over the airwaves " Can that fat anorak in the blue anorak take his finger from up his nose, please"? The look of shock on the guys face was priceless, the other spotters were ROTFL
  17. Pedantic? Moi? Heel, Achilles. Love the pictures though
