I’ve got a feeling HKR could surprise Wigan here they’ve been through the process before having lost the challenge cup final to Leigh. Wigan may still be too good for them but I don’t think KR will blow it. HKR are ready for this they can match Wigan in the grind we’ve seen that and they should’ve learnt their lesson on discipline after the last game. Also old Trafford size lessons the threat of Field and French slightly I really think this could be a cracker.

Most teams don’t stay over anymore.

I know I’ll get slated for this but I think Wane will play Williams and Smith in the halves and use Lewis as the interchange hooker. He isn’t dropping Williams and him and Lewis are too similar to play together but you have to get Lewis on the pitch somewhere.

Will 2024 be the best NRL season ever?

Penriths run started with defeat by Melbourne it can see it ending the same way. -
I remember early - mid 90s BARLA/RFL were pushing for an amateur side in each area tide into the local pro side. The idea being that they would get the pick of the best amateurs in the town and it would sit below reserve grade to bolster squads. It didn’t go down well partly because most amateur clubs have a proud history and partly because at the time the pro game wasn’t trusted by the amateur clubs. I wonder if that could be revisited now that pro clubs tend to have a much better relationship with the amateur game.
