  1. Opened a poll on the subject here. https://m.facebook.com/questions.php?question_id=1480821585669345
  2. We need to close the gap if we want growth. It's fine to ignore this if we are happy with the same teams time after time. Smaller leagues are over familiar and lead to apathy from teams and supporters alike. Some lower teams have the opportunity for growth but don't get SL money. What would happen if York, Newcastle, Rochdale, etc. Had SL money for 20 years, would they grow more than Wakefield, Castleford etc.? Ten and twelve is too few, 14 I can live with but if it had to be ten I would want my conference idea.
  3. Correct, top two from each conference to play off. Conference 1 and 2 play everyone in their own conference twice and everyone from the opposite conference once.
  4. Thank you. Other shows have had good views but this one hasn't despite lots of promoting? We had two players planned for last weekend but the club contacted me to stop it. They've now agreed so trying to sort a suitable date.
  5. Two separate conferences. How do you close the gap if you don't extend the league? I would prefer two leagues of 14 with 28 strong and economically sound clubs, but we don't have that option. So my suggestion helps close the gap, eliminates loop fixtures, makes the plays offs more meaningful and increases the exposure through more clubs. Granted there are draw back but there is with every system. Two leagues of ten is a disaster, no organisation has ever scaled up and increased their brand by downsizing.
  6. I suggested two conferences of ten in a show we did with Martyn on this very topic. Martyn suggested multiple conferences. I suggest two x10 with two games per league and one game with the other conference
  7. Little bit of help if you can please. Despite trying to promote Armed Forces Rugby League there's been very few views and virtually no comments on our YouTube special episode. If you get chance, to help promote Armed Forces RL please leave a like and a comment on YouTube, this bumps it up in the search and helps it show in Rugby League feeds. Usually searching forces rugby it just brings up Union, so a short comment or thumbs up will really help thanks for any support you can share Info below, in other news we have more players and journalists joing us soon our current shows are on zoom as we are waiting for a new studio, so currently going out on Keith Hylands YouTube feed KD Rugby Show from Dockhouse Keith Hyland talks to the great and the good of Armed Forces Rugby League - A true growth area for Rugby League in both men's and Women's versions and a great watch, how many more will convert to the top levels of the Sport? All interviews and some history here, full version -
  8. We have a full version and a short Derby special. Hope you enjoy the content, was a good laugh and hopefully an interesting short video before the semi final.
  9. I don't dispute the ref had a poor game but I have sympathy. Players trying it on and a stop start game is due to the players, ref ignores they get grief, ref sends people to the bin "it's all about the ref" Dropped balls, poor play, stop start etc is as much the players as anyone else, the game becomes bitty and the ref is left with it, they are not the cause. This post isnt saying the ref didn't have a poor game it made errors but to show the players impact very often on the spectacle far more than the ref but the ref gets the blame. What should we do if a ref has a bad game?
  10. Well if the club cannot be supported enough to finish the season then maybe it's the only route but I still prefer to see it through if possible. Which other sports have done this BTW, just out if interest, not being difficult genuinely cannot think of any.
  11. Or if it really is beyond temporary repair for the remainder of the season a dignified and tactical withdrawal with a positive spin
  12. I agree but not mid season due to the damage to the sport, end of season and done professionally
  13. I'm not interested in empty words, I actually mean do it, anyone can say anything. If it's been said before then why didn't they act at the end of the year like I suggest? My point stands, support them as we are mid season, then sort it one way or the other. This isn't the same as ignoring the problem, we must be Pro active. Pro active in support then Pro active in 'discussing' their withdrawal. Humiliating them does not help RL
  14. I don't think it helps the sport if we publicise our failures, so for the good of RL make it work this season and then let them go with dignity
  15. I think we should avoid humiliating then and support them this season. Then it needs to be fully addressed in the off season or near the end of this one. Serious talks about them making changes and dropping to amateur status if applicable
  16. I agree, tier three should be a mix of reserves and lower league first teams, usually development areas SL could maybe run a team like Midlands as their reserves
  17. I believe they want more but for reasons out of their control it isn't possible
  18. Yeh L1 is almost two leagues in one. Maybe a half year split similar to the women's SL?
  19. I doubt Oldham got a lot from the game either. West Wales should be a success but I don't see any improvement coming. What's are they doing to correct this issue, the playing rota is obviously below the required standard for this level. Not the players fault but the managements failure to build a semi competitive team is worrying. Oldham have built a good squad but difficult to measure how good just yet
