  1. Lets hope this great rugby league atmosphere never changes.
  2. Cheers my friend. Thats a big relief. Monday would have been out for me but if its the Thursday then here we come.... Can't wait! Can't believe how moving it was at the end today by the way..... its been a long time.
  3. Does anyone know what date the playoff game v Halifax is? Is it likely to still be a Thursday night for Sky? I heard someone say today it is the 6th September but that is a Monday.... What a fantastic end to the regular season todays game was. UP THE ROVERS!
  4. Does anyone know if tonights 'chart topping' game is on radio at all? I can'''t make it to PO (yeah I'm gutted) and don't have Sky sports so hoping I can at least listen to the game....
  5. 6 - 16 to Rovers (6 - 8 at half time)
  6. Sounds great and congratulations for getting to the quarters. We'll be there if we can but either way we wish you all the best on the day.
  7. As many have said on here you all do a great job with the dvds allready anything else you may try is just a bonus and i'm sure everyone will appreciate you having a go. I for one am very grateful for these dvds as I now never have to miss a game again. I have a season ticket so most home games are no problem but for various reasons I am unable to attend away games. So to bob into the Fev shop and get a copy of the game for a fiver is fantastic. Plus we can build up our own collection of favourite games to keep us going during the leaner times and off season. Many thanks and keep up the brilliant work!
  8. I knew Jim for many years, growing up in the street he lived. He was kind and always had a smile and a good word to say. my sincere thoughts go to is family and friends. May god bless you Jim.
  9. Phew! I think it was better without the radio commentary.... I can't stand thiis last few seconds.
  10. No probs, I'm just sorry we missed the first half.... at least we know whats happening now, just in time for Matty Dale being sent off... Oh hum!
  11. It was'nt working when I tried earlier but I am now listening to Rugby commentary on the following link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/liverpool/hi/f...000/8574787.stm We're on for the 2nd half.
  12. Thanks Bob I thought the viewing site seemed a bit too good to be true... Apologies for the radio station links. The commentary is on Radio Merseyside but with about 3 minutes to go they said the online programme would continue with football whilst the rugby commentary would be switched to their other Frequency 1485 MW so it looks like we'll just have to keep our ears to the skies and hope for the best. I'm still trying to find somewhere on the web to at least listen to the 2nd half but not holding out too much hope. Anyway.... UP THE ROVERS!!!!
  13. I've just been surfing the web myself and come up with a website www.care2.com which apparently connects you to www.live-rugby-now.com who offer 'free' live streaming of the match. Try it if you like but I've never come accross them before and as I'm a bit suspicious of anything free (like where's the hidden catch?) I might just hook up to live radio until I know more. Has anyone heard of this free live rugby league streaming? I believe radio commentary might be on BBC Radio Merseyside. http://www.bbc.co.uk/liverpool/content/art...y_feature.shtml or http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/liverpool/hi/tv_and_radio/
  14. Does anyone know if the game is on a t' internet friendly radio station for those of us who cannot make it to widnes but still want to support the lads from home?
  15. Cheers mate. I am unable to attend the match on sunday but will be riveted to the radio broadcast now.

Well, she has a nice smile....
  17. I think our defense has really come on this year and if we can keep our heads and hold the defense tight without panicking then we might at least keep the score difference down and who knows a sneaky try near the end might then just tip the winning scales in our direction. I know its a long shot with the gap between superleague and our league ever widening but if we believe like we did back in '83 then who knows what might happen... and if we don't pull it off then there's always Toulouse! At least we will go into it with no pressure to win. Warrington must be a little apprehensive knowing they are about to play a very in form team from a lower league and a few simple mistakes might cause the embarressment of what would surely be one of the biggest cup upsets for some time.
  18. I've just tried to connect to the online shop via the rovers site and get a picture of a nice lady and the message that the domain name has expired... Does anybody know if the online shop has been relocated with maybe an updated site or is this just a temporary overview by the management...
  19. Rovers 30 - 20 Halifax Half Time 10-12 Att. 2721 Good tight but flowing game with Fev's current enthusiasm, confidence and form pulling through in the end.
  20. Well done the Rovers... Fantastic stuff..... bring on Warrington next month. I'm not betting on any results but think we'll give them a bloody good game and make the RL world dig out those old dusty maps to find the spot called FEV!
  21. Here is the link to BBC Radio Cumbria http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/cumbria/hi/tv_and_radio/ Click in box at top right of page to listen to game live.
  22. Barrow are last years champions but Rovers have improved and gelled together vastly since then making this one eck of a game. Hopefully it will be a close run, edge of the seat game with play moving swiftly from one end of the field to the next and Fev coming out on top.. he says.... hopefully! Barrow 18 - Featherstone 24!!!
  23. Do I remember an old Fev anthem from the 70's wembley days called "Nice one Cyril" or have the mists of time just clouded over my brain??
  24. It may be an idea to re-look at the price for some of these games. My wife was thinking of coming with me to tonights game until she realised we were paying

Mmm its certainly a problem and I take on board what you say. Its just frustrating seeing the gap widen between SL and the rest of us when you think of the excitement of pre SL years when anyone could end up becoming top dogs for a season and certainly up untill when money became a bigger force it was often hard for anyone to predict who would win any given campaign. Its also upsetting seeing the game seemingly going the way it is with lower flight clubs struggling more and more and the 'interesting' rules making it more difficult for clubs to be promoted - although that may be a Godsend for some who might not otherwise survive financially in SL. As you say what is the way forward?
