  1. Jesus wept, thats always a penalty and no try (Edit because I was too baffled to type properly)
  2. Moore is having a better game than Wire are, that's for sure And they're both doing better than the sky commentary.
  3. I think we were guilty of thinking "job done" when it went to 22-6, especially our young Middle unit
  4. They comment on the game like they are in the pub watching on TV but with less insight and knowledge. Worst TV commentary out there
  5. Agree the first part, but Roby touches it before the balls gone 10m, should have been penalty to Hull
  6. Re the shoulder charge argument, the defender could always bend his back and tackle the legs and so avoid the shoulder of the ball carrier The ball carrier can't do that when being hit.
  7. Thought we tried our hardest to lose that one... Both teams missing a huge chunk of players, the come down after last week's efforts making it messy Sets it up nicely for the big event
  8. Him, Cudjoe and Lawrence getting a winners medal would be fitting reward for over a decade of loyalty and work. 3 players who would have made their way into any SL team but stuck it out even when it was going badly in the last few years
  9. Well, what a good day out. Got there good and early to watch all 3 games, and credit to the Elland Road staff and stewards who were exemplary as to how to host a game and treat visitors. And 3 very different but also 3 fantastic games on show. As for our attendance, we weren't outnumbered that much by Hull KR and from where I was sat, we had similar numbers to Wigan, definitely made as much noise as anyone else on the day (though credit to Saints who turned up in numbers to support their women) But, the result is what matters. Dominant in defence, patient in attack and some real flair and class when it was on. Jerry and Cudjoe rolling back the seasons, Innes showing he has matured into a very good winger at this level - and a middle unit as good as any in SL I think. Roll on Tottenham!
  10. Side question, but I'm planning on catching all 3 games - I know concessions will be open, but can you take a flask or packed lunch into Elland Road?
  11. Caught up with the TV broadcast, that wasn't pretty to watch but the Giants were missing plenty of big names - and I don't think we've seen our best spine together yet Still, a wins a win and much needed My one (ongoing) gripe is that the Sky pundits remain absolutely garbage. John Wells especially cannot help but let his dislike of the Giants shine through every time he speaks
  12. That is VERY good figures for RL given that ITV is a more watched channel than C4
  13. You can say it It's wrong beyond words but you can say it My only consolation is that Huddersfield have a good chance of coming out stronger...clubs in the middle 8 are destined to decades of yoyo syndrome. I can only assume the payoff is sweet It's like Superleague 1 all over again
  14. If the giants have learned anything from this season (at the hands of Wire) it's 4 top props wins you big games Giants lost Fielden and O'Donnell early on and I suspect if a fit Fielden had been in the playoffs the Giants might be at Old Trafford this weekend Mulally is in development Patrick is an impact player or a back row We ended using Faiumu as a prop and he's a better 13 Crabtree Coppy Kafusi Taia Will be our headline props
  15. Cas fans said Ferres was a terrible signing too... But he'll be joining a table topping coaching team, a first rate set up and a winning team, I'm sure he'll be a different player for the Giants.
  16. I always wonder why a player like this hasn't been picked up by a Superleague club - is it just too much hard work now to trial a player?
  17. It reminds me very much of a similar article a month or two back from Wakey who used similar lines to dismiss fears about their financial situation (I.e. sorry we forgot to pay that CCJ etc) Maybe I'm just cynical.
  18. If England win because Sinfield plays a blinder at 6 I'll be at the front of the queue to eat humble pie When Sinfield goes missing will his supporters do the same?
  19. Brough wants to play in the World Cup - it'll be his last chance probably Macca asked him to be available to England then ignored him It left Brough with a choice. Stick with England and chances are sit watching from the sidelines or pick Scotland and play Can't say I'd have done differently if it were me, can anyone else?
