If he's not upto the pace a)that's Leeds' fault for not using him more, just what is he training full-time with them for and b) that's the reason they've been letting him play for us to get game practice. Also, if they STILL don't think he's good enough, why did they chase him and why have they picked him on a corresponding match when he could still have been playing for us?

Either Radford or Powell will come back to Cas. Powell goes nowhere without Ryan Sheridan. Radford also could have an entourage. Either appointnent would I think put Linners in jeopardy which then begs a question, could he remain at Batley now we've officially appointed Mokko as his successor? This is a whole can of worms, opened by Austin leaving Leeds and the knock-on effect is large for Cas, Leeds and Batley. Leeds are having to replace Austin at 6, Myler would step up normally but he's injured, they've taken Hooley back at an important time as we need to beat Bradford and then into the final, where everybody says 'no problem, Leeds aren't playing, they'll let him play' but it doesn't necessarily follow as if he is then earmarked for full back they won't want to risk him getting injured playing for somebody else. I think that Linners is a man who CAN separate one thing from another especially when the Cas situation isn't anything that he can control so for us at least for 2 weeks it'll be business as usual.

Have seen more than 1 comment that Blake Austin has moved to Castleford from Leeds. That could be bad for us; Myler would probably move up to 6 leaving Leeds short of a full-back. If the rumour is true that sounds bad for this weekend and possibly Wembley for Luke.

No, as usual it's me who sticks gmhis head above the parapet and asks awkward questions and thanks nineoil for asking the same question (btw you beat me by 2 years); why should teams reaching finals, Wembley or Grand NOT see financial gain? That surely is the point in doing well enough to get to these finals? Now let's move on to attracting players...how many times might we have lost a player due to constraints? They certainly don't APPEAR to come knocking on our door out of respect for our achievements do they? So, what DOES it come down to? Yes, we might attract that type of Batley player but then keep asking them to work twice as hard under injury stress because there aren't enough.

So basically there's sod all in it, paying for the prestige. Just so we know, we'll still not be able to attract players next season cos we'll still be poor. I guess that was at the heart of your question Rog!!

Bromley, Cropper not had mention for weeks after he was picked as a starting prop for about 3 weeks and wasn't at York supporting. I reckon Walshaw will be in the Wembley side, was training pre York and probably due a match test v Bulls.
