I digress from yesterdays game to say Daughter in Law flies out to Innsbruck Tues with the England woman's roller derby team. She is captain of the defence team and her friend who lives in Colorado USA is captain of the offence. She qualifies as her mother was born in England and was not picked in the very strong USA team.Daughter in Law's sponsor sent over some new skates $1300.Old ones were held together with gaffer tape.

Wakefield Trinity plans submision

Something all rugby league is falling down on.Not much incentive for away supporters often charging higher walk up prices.I know KR are usually full house but other SL teams should charge away supporters £15 and in the Championship £10.But clubs would rather play in half or less empty stadiums. -
I don't mind who is promoted Toulouse ,York ,London even Bradford but not if they are playing out of Odsal. It has had it's day .SL certainly needs freshening up a couple of new teams might do that.Although i would replace Salford and add another two .three in total and do away with the stupid loop fixtures.

Agree sticking twos up is over the top without supporters there is no game. When i played amateur i often played the bad guy.Often being call dirty bar steward by the home supporters. When near the touchline within touching distance i would smile and wink at them.Often after the game i would get tapped on the back and supporters would say well played ####.Usually at Sharlston or Purston park against Jubilee.

It's ok for supporters to slag players off but not for players to give a bit back not for me.Harris had a great game outplaying our two ex SL halves. When we were going toe to toe with Leigh in the Championship at The Sports Village Ryan Brierley scored a try and threw the ball into the Fev supporters. The chap a couple of rows in front moved to dodge it and i ended up with 3/4 pint of beer all over me.I also remember the great Billy Boston getting fed up with racial language from a supporter and he jumped over the wall and went up the terrace after him.Lucky for the supporter Billy did not catch him.

York much too strong in the middle for us that's probably why our tries were scored out wide.As stated earlier they are the best team in the Championship at the moment.Harris was very influential his passes splitting the defensive line.Hampshire did his customary straight into touch but at least Reynolds landed that 40/20.Some of is high kicks into the corner seemed pointless.Thought we should have had another kick when Wynne scored his second try as the York player slide in with the knees after the ball was grounded.Mcshane dropped the ball for the last York try and i thought the York try before that came off a forward pass.I think only a few supporters really though we might win against a very good York side.Think a 14 point margin would have reflected the game better as York made plenty of mistakes.
-
Agree although i think we will have to improve on last weeks performance to win.Even game again although i would have York as favourites and giving 4 points start on handicap. We let a couple of soft tries in last Friday and were exposed on the flank for another which happens even in SL who are full time.

Not had much game time but a real trier who always gives his best.

Barton is much too big for a team that could be playing in League 1 or even the Championship. -

If Salford do have to take a step back to the Championship or League 1 wouldn't it make sense to share Heywood Road with Swinton. It must be closer to Salford than Swinton.I remember years ago when Salford were relegated from the top division they were undefeated in the Championship and bounced straight back.State they are in i cant see that being repeated.
