  1. Very good comparison. I'm still go smacked he's 16 and playing like he's been up there for the last 15yrs. Absolutely astonishing.
  2. Pushing the pressure gauge up further... Wow. Looks like littler is finding another gear... Somehow.
  3. Unreal darts from both. Cross must be spitting feathers after that.
  4. He did very well at the end of the 2nd set. Admiral composure.
  5. It would be really interesting to see how he handles being 2 sets down. You can see he might well get into his own head if that was to happen. If it's fairly even he could struggle to keep the concentration given the commentators have said he hasn't been this deep before. Not sure what the junior comps lengths are. But would be surprised if they were as long as this. Should be a cracker tonight!
  6. Really looking forward to tonight's action. No one would begrudge Littler if he came unstuck - 16 yr old, World Championship Semi-Final on debut. But equally, really hoping he can push on and make the final. Darts isn't normally too high on our household sporting agenda, but after watching his first game, we have been glued to watching the tournament. Anyone's guess who wins it overall. Thoroughly enjoying it.
  7. What maturity at the end there. Superb scoring. Pressure... What pressure.
  8. Incredible scoring from both. Brilliant entertainment.
  9. Unbelievable first 2 sets from Littler... Wow. Campbell doesn't look close at the mo.
  10. Yep. There was a segment on the opening night showing the Wire players supporting Luke and wishing him luck. Warrington social media was also wishing him luck too.
  11. He'd make it to the 3rd round and spectacularly fall apart.
  12. It would be one hell of an achievement to just make the 3rd round! He'd be entirely forgiven for the pressure getting to him at some point and not progressing too deep. I'll definitely be tuning in to see tonight's game. It was good to see some of the Warrington players wishing him luck beforehand too.
  13. Peter Wright looked well off the pace last night compared to his usual levels. Great result for Luke Littler though. What a performance from a 16yr old!
  14. This one will be an interesting dynamic as Truro City have the assets and the council buy-in to be already building the stadium. The new facilities are driven by the existing social capital that Truro City hold due to their stadium woes and longevity of existence. Yet their average attendance is in the few hundreds. Whereas, Cornwall RLFC have zero tangible assets yet average 1k attendances. So its going to be an interesting relationship to see how this all unfolds and how you drive interest in both - if you are Perez. Cornwall RLFC wouldn't have had the same social capital to get the council shelling out a couple of mil to support a stadium build. Its a really smart move to oust the Pirates from the deal (from a RL perspective). It leaves them out of the picture as far as where the public money is being spent, where the private money is being spent and down the road miles away from the largest population areas in an old deteriorating ground. They are looking for new ownership, with an uncertain future and will expend a lot of energy in having to resolve that. This is definitely a brilliant opportunity to establish RL in Cornwall for the long-run and weave its way into psyche of the public domain.
  15. A 5 Min BBC Cornwall Interview with Perez ft. the relationship with Cornwall RLFC. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0gwtbwk Seems like if they can structure it correctly, there could be a lot of synergies to reduce overheads in a modern stadium that Cornwall RLFC will be part of. The fact its in with the Football club can only be a positive for brand awareness and engagement in Cornwall. Esp. with the Pirates half an hour down the road in their old dilapidated ground well away from the major conurbations of the county. It's now a case of building the brand and becoming the #1 rugby club in the county. The income potential surely must be better not having to pay rent to Penryn RFC etc. The fact this is RL folks buying a Football club, should be a positive for the RL club's future. IMG point win with ownership of the ground too...
  16. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/67473443 Anthony Mullally: The remote retreats shaping men and medal prospects - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/67473443 Interesting read and an honest account on learning to find fulfilment. Always thought Cornwall would be a great SL pre season option for clubs. A sports psychology package, outdoor adventure and a pre season game seems like a nice few days away from the pre season grind if you ask me...
  17. I believe the latest - far reduced capacity was in the planning agenda last week at the Council for approval. Truro FC need a basic pitch and stand to be able to play at home next season. Bearing in mind it was a council funded planning submission, to be discussed by the council planning team, you'd imagine it should get the nod. Whether they can get it done in time is another Q.
  18. Just about sums up where we are at the mo. Every piece of news recently seems to be another retreat, retrenchment and shrinkage back.
  19. We have all those superb examples of where we have previously had protections put in place around the terms used to describe our game(s) and its assets.
  20. The club announced at the end of the season that they had averages over 1k per game last season too. Can't for the life of me remember where I saw it. Perhaps a social media post from the club...
