The Transfer Rumour Mill Thread

As an added bonus, my C*s supporting best mate is gutted and can't understand why they let him go. Great signing for us. -
I think they're pinning all their hopes on that new stand (and the pitch). I'll be amazed if they generate a quarter of the revenue they imagine (£100,000 from the pitch, £500,000 from the stand) and they'll still have a stadium that will look terrible on TV. Apparently the cameras will be in the new stand, so the outside world will still see what a sheethole the rest of it is.

If they owned it. They can't even afford the rent. The poor council tax payers of Salford City Council foot a good chunk of that bill. -
I keep hearing that the bloke who owns Millenium Care is piling brass in. No idea how true that is.

Bit different this year though Harry. It was clear from April onwards that you guys were the only horse in the race. Not so clear this year. Despite being unbeaten, we are hardly running away with it. We lack the total dominance and financial muscle that you did. And there's still Batley, Sheffield and 'fax waiting patiently to urinate on our chips. And we'd be fools to discount TOXIII. -

I appreciate we lack the financial strength to do what Leigh did and offer deals regardless of the division we find ourselves in. Think we do a bit better than Liam Watts like. -

Pretty underwhelmed if this is the type of player we’re going for. Avoiding the bottom will be hard enough without recruiting Dad’s army. Again -

Eseh is gonna be a world beater. Was absolutely brilliant at Fev last year. -

Just need to keep him out of Biggies in Ponte. Ruined many a promising RL career. -

Not even a top 10 championship half. Pretty desperate if true. -

I think a vet with a bolt gun needs to be called. -
Most Inner London boroughs are third world sh!tholes. I wouldn't be surprised if even WF7 had more disposable income per head that them.

How’d that work out? -
Roughly half the entrants at the end of round 2?
-
Axiom are never going to part with cash (it’s not really clear that they even have finance in place at this stage) until they’re well into the build and have tenants signed up. Cas must know this. Getting planning permission is only the first step. It’ll be years before Cas see any money. Wakefield’s experience is a cautionary tale…. Edit. LTS beat me to it
-
Don’t think it was ever the case that all that was needed was planning permission. As far as I’ve ever read, Cas get the money when shovels are in the ground.
-
Fev statement, voted no on one minor detail around P&R. Supportive of the overall deal. Really shorted sighted and lumps us in with the awkward squad like Keighley. https://www.featherstonerovers.co.uk/news/board-statement-img-vote-gA3Nh/
-
Gledhill reckons Fev voted against. I'm disappointed if we did.
-
Vickers is focussing in on a minute detail re the banding within a grade. I don't think that means Fev don't broadly agree. It's rightly a major concern for top championship clubs.
-
That's not true. Martin Vickers (he's not the chairman) publicly stated that they have reservations, but are broadly supportive. The chairman did have a late night (possibly "refreshed") moan about crowds on social media, which I wouldn't take much notice of. Getting a bit of 2+2 = 7 going on I think.
-
No shock that Cas and Wakey will vote against. Wakey because they'll be in the championship and will more than likely struggle, Cas because they know that the enabling development that funds their upgrades is years away at best. I'd guess that the rest of SL will vote for, as will Fev, 'fax, Dulls, Sheffield and York. I assume Catalans and TOXIII don't get a vote.
-
Point of order: Catalan, while being a big success and adding much to the image of the competition are NOT an expansion team.
-
I doubt many Barcelona folk have heard of any of the places that play RL, maybe Leeds and York. It's a bit of a poor argument.

That happened once, quite a while ago. If was a once a year thing, it might be significant.
