  1. Will be interesting to see who they can bring in for next season, the pack looks as though it could do with a couple, maybe Pauli Pauli and a Liam Watts, Tiaki Chan type signings, those three bring an instant upgrade for Salford, in the backs maybe Jack Walker and Guy Armitage but obviously will all come down to the budget, would be great to see Salford challenging next year after all the upheaval of the last twelve months or so.
  2. Think Brierley has been a bit too hasty with the coach, he's nowhere near the standard required for Salford to challenge again.
  3. Need much more than Murphy, Brierley should get his boots back on.
  4. Bit of a setback for Salford who tbh could do with a better coach at the helm.
  5. A simple chat with the player about etiquette, culture etc surely would have sufficed, it's simply not a sackable offence and obviously a bit more to it, handshakegate.....
  6. Armitage would be a great signing for Salford if they can agree a deal.
  7. Armitage could be a good acquisition for Salford if they can agree a deal for next season, although they will probably be focusing on strengthening the pack.
  8. Liam Sutcliffe to Salford? Could work out well for both.
  9. Harsh decision, 15 injuries is a wrecking ball for any club to contend with.
  10. I don't think Sneyd would have signed on at Salford without the assurances that there will be some quality arrivals coming in, interesting times ahead at Salford.
  11. Can point to the injuries and its a legitimate excuse but the bigger picture it looks like saints have lost their way in the last few years, not looked on it as a club since Holbrook left then Roby.
  12. Good to see Salford moving slowly but surely up the table, interesting times ahead for them.
  13. Salford currently 11th is nothing short of remarkable for a phoenix club and six months young, that club is in good hands these days, they won't get promoted this year obviously but they are clearly going in the right direction.
  14. Rowley has got Saints looking good in just 2 months, quite the upgrade on the previous coach, honestly believe he would improve England also if he were to get the job.
  15. Toby Hughes to Salford on a 3 year deal, is this Salfords first ever signing in their new guise? Different matter I know but I wish Brierley would come out of retirement for the Salford cause.
  16. Delighted for Salford given the turmoil of the last 12 months, hopefully there's more positive things to come for them moving forward.
  17. Remember him well back in the day, quite a few passed in recent times, Watkins, Drummond, Millward, Gill, Pimblett etc, 70s and 80s had some real characters in the game back then.
  18. Barrow look quite a strong outfit, having said that, Salford are doing well just to be a club, how long though before the players and fans start to become disillusioned.
  19. Hopefully Salford will bring in some older heads and its great to see them back as a new club, where will they finish the season? I'm guessing around mid table, which would be a good effort tbf.
  20. Good news at long last for the Salford fans, will be interesting now to see which players and coach arrives, read somewhere that Ryan Brierley could be involved unless that was with the Irwin consortium.
  21. Probably in the best interests of all concerned if 'Salford' are out of the equation for 2026 and look at building for 2027, or on the other hand, in the words of Lennon and McCartney, Let it be.
  22. Have to feel sorry for King on the human level for sure, even though it beggars belief that you would gamble your house on something so unstable. For his own sanity I hope he is not replaying it all over in his mind like woulda coulda shoulda, that would be quite a dark place, I hope he's got all the support he needs.
  23. Good shout, I think the new Salford have to be thinking outside the box, get creative and look to grow rather than just making up the numbers.
  24. Intrigued to find out what will happen at Salford particularly if Caton- Brown comes in with significant investment, will be interesting to see what players come in and if they can hit the ground running, logic says unlikely, but let's see, can't really look beyond London, Oldham, and Widnes challenging at the top of the tree.
