  1. Definitely after that performance, can’t have been many who thought they’d win.
  2. You know while the stands looked half empty on tv there was still a fair amount of noise and obviously lots of points scored, it was no damp squib.
  3. That’s like comparing premier league and welsh football attendances though, if Man Utd got 59k it would be very poor but if Rhyl got 2k it would be superb.
  4. I know, what I meant is I’m surprised it’s not allowed, considering FIFA will do anything for a few quid.
  5. Agreed, I’m a Saints fan (though more of a fan of the game in general) but think the GF needs a different winner this year so fans of other teams don’t switch off.
  6. Ah yeah I see what you mean. But yes a conscious decision would be great. I can’t stand seeing sponsors on national team shirts, most surprised that it doesn’t happen in football though given what a money focused sport that is.
  7. I’d be delighted if England don’t have a shirt sponsor at the World Cup, might even buy one.
  8. Must agree, other than the Plymouth bit, it’s turned me right off.
  9. I know it stands for Logarithmic mean temperature difference, but can’t confirm whatever that’s what’s meant here.
  10. Great isn’t it, there seems to be such a buzz about Hull KR too. I do wonder if Wigan or Leeds’ boards are even bothered about their decline in attendances, the stadium rebuild excuse at Leeds has worn thin and there seems to be fewer people at Wigan every time I see them on tv. To me they’re the biggest two clubs and they should be leading the way with 14k+ averages.
  11. Looks like there’ll be another beast of a crowd at Saints on Good Friday. It’s to see them, Hull KR and Cas growing their home attendances, though on the flip side the rate at which Leeds and Wigan are haemorrhaging fans is a massive concern. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10166457909425475&id=324255640474&m_entstream_source=timeline
  12. I like the statement from that sponsor, and the fact that they’re already involved with Leeds and Bradford.
  13. They’re pushing it on Facebook and presumably other social media platforms. Discounts for families and blue light card holders are nice ideas.
  14. Well yeah completely agree on the last part, SL’s ruining of Sheffield Eagles must be in the sport’s all time top 3 own goals, against some massively stiff competition.
  15. One 10k crowd in 25 years isn’t a sign of potential to have regular 10k crowds. When were Huddersfield, Salford or Trinity’s last 10k crowds? Charlton Athletic once had a crowd of 75k, they don’t need a ground that big either.
  16. Salford don’t get big crowds in a bigger stadium though, and nor do a number of other SL clubs.
  17. I would absolutely love to see Sheffield back in SL, went to see them a fair few times in the 90s and have a massive soft spot for them and the city.
  18. I am surprised by the low crowds at their opening home games, in recent years Warrington have been lauded for their excellent social media presence (not that I’m on Twitter or owt like that so don’t see it myself).
  19. That bad for Wigan, Salford and Warrington? I hope you’re wrong mate.
  20. Wigan ahead of Saints? With Leeds going backwards I think Saints could end up top, not nailed on at all but 2/1 maybe.
  21. Very impressive for only one championship side to be in three figures. Compares favourably to the Union championship’s average of 1,276.
  22. Anglian Vipers’ new (and first) jersey. https://m.facebook.com/AnglianVipersRL/photos/a.131508506072251/133352339221201/?type=3&source=48
