  1. I tend to agree with you, he comes on and intimidates everyone but it has a big effect on the game and the results. I would like to see Town get someone like him, as well a intimidating he can organise and lift his team as was seen yesterday, I think we would still have struggled even if Burns hadn’t been sent off!!! something I think is lacking in our current squad, but hey ho our season is probably over now
  2. Let’s not blame the coach too much, once the players take to the field it’s out of the coach’s hands, it’s not the coach who misses tackles, drops the ball, gives silly penalties etc ??? They need to step up more ???
  3. Was this a board decision or just a couple of individuals, I agree advertising is an important source of revenue for the club but what about the individual and his band of mates that will now no longer be paying on the gate and no doubt buying drink ??? All revenue lost to a club who are looking for every bit of financial support they can get?? Think again BOD before more follow with a self imposed ban ???
  4. Potentially 60mph winds and heavy rain sounds a bit more than “just a bit of wind & rain” to me?? would it not be better to rearrange and get a decent crowd rather than the hardy few watching one side kicking the ball down field to force an error while the other side trying to make ground into driving rain and 60 mph wind, or watching for the roof blowing off the stand?? Just remember what one side does in the first half the other side will do in the 2nd half ( sorry didn’t mean to give away havens game plan)
  5. Still confused?? Extract from RFL meeting In 2024 the 13 England-based Championship clubs will join eight League One clubs (Cornwall having graciously opted not to take part) in seven groups of three. Groups will be seeded and regionalised, with League One clubs awarded home advantage in any fixtures against Championship opposition. The top team in each group will qualify for Quarter Finals, joined by the best-performing second-placed team – the latter to be determined by competition points initially and then, if necessary, by points difference does that not read like Town will play the league 1 clubs home and away (16 games) but the proposed loop fixtures (Whitehaven and Barrow in the 1885 cup ) gives us an additional 4 home fixtures, as stated above “ with League One clubs awarded home advantage in any fixtures against Championship opposition.” making 12 at home and 8 away ???
  6. As an aside to the lack of radio coverage could this be adding to our “friends” down the road financial difficulties (apart from the team performance) the fact that rather than stand in the open watching a lack lustre performance on the pitch you can listen to the slightly bias commentators in the comfort of your own home and save the money ( that is desperately needed by your team
  7. Once again there appears to be no Radio Cumbria coverage of the Town away game, but by contrast both Whitehaven and Barrow home games are both on
