Oldhamer, BQ said previously there was a situation that ch did not want to engage with fans or the community, I’m sure he would know that better than me or anyone, I also know it was BQ investment and desire to have a reserve side at that time, I think BQ and the board very much appreciates the hardwork everyone puts into the running of the club, I think there would be lots of other clubs wishing BQ and this board were at there clubs at present.let’s look forward and support each other and the massive effort by so many to get this great club to where it belongs.

What was the strong statement? I would suggest you re try to connect with BQ if you feel strongly, regards volunteers I believe BQ has introduced a employee of the month which has been won by two volunteers who have been recognised and rewarded, I didn’t see that happening in the past?

I appreciate what your saying but it was BQ trying to engage as is happening now, BQ has and is very transparent and at fans forum I’m sure he would answer any questions to clarify which story is correct.

I have heard it from the horses mouth and yes I also saw paperwork that shows ch cheated BQ in more than one way, but any doubt ask BQ as I know he can prove it.

Oldhamer can I just put you straight ch sold the players after bill quinn was forced to resign as ch had personally cheated him out of monies,I’m told there was money available until the end of the season but ch sold the players and received cash from barrow, also all you mention that the club did was when BQ was there,if you have any doubts about my information then ask BQ, I understand he let ch pay him only for shares over several years so the club was not affected, for me the past should stay where it is, thank god BQ has come back to show his worth to the supporters as that’s who always mattered to him.

Agreed everyone is entitled to free speech,I’m trying to explain not criticise, if I was part of the board and I saw all the negative comments and criticism which so quickly gets put on here without the full picture I would be very frustrated and angry, the club is changing for the better if you think not then show me why and where? The work that is going into to give us the fans the best chance of promotion and the feedback and support that has been missing for 25 years plus is incredible. we need to all pull together not jump on negativity without the full picture so quickly, yes the new board may make mistakes but not out of a lack of care more a want to progress this club as fast as possible in every direction for the better and for us the fans, will everyone buy into it and be happy I doubt very much, come on all true supporters of this club join together in a positive way.

Oldham 123 i ask you to check five games played and see who has played, no more to be said please read, nick has personal issues, please read news on website open and honest, regarding Dave you seem to struggle with your eye sight, it reads Dave is doing lots of other stuff for the club and is held in high regard please tell me who is being pushed aside or jilted? The new board has been here less than 12 months and have done more for fans and the profile of the club, bill quinn has put his hand in his pocket to bring in a team to be proud of and to pay for coaches for the fans, yet people on here want to jump at any chance to do them down, do you really support this club, I really hope they don’t read this thread.

Hey all as far as I have found out firstly the board hold Dave in high regard, secondly they have kept Dave up to date at all times, I believe Dave is busy and is doing lots of other things with the club, so for him to not be doing one thing does not constitute this thread, if Dave has a problem with anything then I’m sure he would voice it to the club ? Has this happened I would ask ? let’s look at all the positives the new board has done and continue to do people are very quick to point fingers and make there minds up without the full picture.

Hi, I was always taught that there is always two sides to a story, I can tell you that bill and the board are aware of the full picture and left no stone unturned to find out what went on and George was hired immediately afterwards, I’m not privy to all that was discussed but I would like to think he will be very professional, I think we should trust the board as you say they have got very little wrong so far.

J royales thank you for your reply, I was reacting to the comments knowing how hard not only our chairman is working but all at ORLFC, the chairman made a comment to a fan whilst I was listening and I was amazed at his openness to explain how much he and the board wants to be open and transparent and honest with all fans, and that they are willing to give so much back to the fans and try new things to make not only a better game day experience but also to make every fan feel they are part of the journey and the reason why this club is rising from the ashes, now being a life long supporter to hear that knowing that man means every word and will do whatever it takes to make us great again is the reason for my response, no offence intended, we are all entitled to our opinion and I know we the fans now have someone that wants and listens to all fans.

Hi philipw yes they take card, also there is a facility to pay by card at the shop for all those wishing to go to the game and don’t have cash.

Will you ever be happy with what the club is doing, not professional looking, use as storage, sell in the fans bar, my god what next, there is nothing wrong with selling from the mobile shop, people are putting in tremendous effort and it seems it’s never enough for some,

Hi I can confirm that on talking with bill quinn yesterday, there will be new stock at the club shop on Sunday, I think he said everything would be available hope that helps.

At the forum last night bill quinn gave his reasons why the name change and I for one was very happy with the response it shows the board have total respect for the past and present, that goes for all connected with our great club,

Talking of transparency, the board are trying to keep fans updated with all events the chairman told me at the end. I was amazed that while I was waiting to speak to him I heard him say to several people including myself thank you for your support, how refreshing it is to see not only engagement but a real sense that the fans matter to the club, I tried to speak to CH previously to be told I’m not interested and turned his back on us.I for the first time in many years really feel this club is only going one way with this board of genuine people, we need to make sure we as fans back them with bums on seats this season, love the new catch phrase Together stronger.
